Raigeki is unbanned because the game has gone in the direction that, in many cases, sending your opponent's monsters to the grave is not only not a hindrance, but actively helps their gameplan. Whereas a Threaten with no drawback is way too much (like most cards printed in the era before they realized it was a good idea to give them negatives so that decks don't end up just being brokenstaples.dek).

I have been testing this thing in Resonators and I actually don't like it that much. When you blow up the field it's nice but usually it'll just die before that happens. Also, it requires an extra effort for a monster with no protection from battle/effect destruction/targeting and it has little synergy with Red Dragon Archfiend (doesn't even require it.) I am confident in a deck with 3 red dragon whatever 2 abyss and 1 belial I don't even mess with King Calamity much at all and Red Nova isn't too good anymore. Clear/Crystal Wing gives me that effect protection and if I wanted to avoid destruction I'd toss in a Stardust/Spark too.
is Arc-V watchable? Liked Yugioh I guess, GX was meh, 5Ds was kinda good and ZEXAL was shit

The tag force games don't seem to have the AI cheat. There's destiny draws, which only happen once a duel, can be used by the player too, and can be turned off. But otherwise I've seen the ai actually get bad hands and just let me demolish them.

This, during the tourney, the duel he had with Yuya was what he should be, I understand the writers motive, but you can have a goofy character who usually gets second fiddle, still be skillful and be a threat. Look at Joey from the 1st series, he may have lost to Kaiba and Yugi but beat near everyone else, even if some shit was luck.

Pendulum Summoning is inherently not that great of a mechanic and you can't really just toss pendulums into any deck like tuners+synchros or XYZ monsters. In a general hand of 5, you use 2 cards to be able to summon 3 monsters, and then you have 0 backrow. In something like Fire Fist format you could use like 2 cards from your hand to get out 4 monsters and still have 3 spells and traps left in your hand to protect yourself.
The problem is recently they've made a bunch of cards like Elemental Hero Stratos, who is banned. Except these ones also search eachother, so Skullcrobat Joker(a stratos clone) can search Monkeyboard (who searches another card once it's played) who can search 2 cards every time it's special summoned. Whereas Qliphorts have their only two searching cards limited to 1 copy each for searching once per turn at the cost of 800 life points.
