Field mode may look like Naruto but it controls totally differently and the meta is absolutely nothing like Naruto.
Duel mode feels more like Bloody Roar than Tekken, but that's still not a great comparison because of Pokken's rock-paper-scissors system. Attacks go right through grabs and do extra damage, grabs go through armored attacks and do extra damage, and everyone has a universal armored attack that gets its armor on frame 1.

I keep seeing people post webms of Garchomp and Machamp combos that do 250 and a simple yyy down A with Libre does 221. Not that big a difference considering how much faster Libre is.
I think the downside to Libre is less that she doesn't do damage (she does good damage!) but that she has very little health.

I find it really fucking fun, but I'm also absolutely wrecking everyone I come across online.
It's pretty simple but there's a wide variety of game plans in the selectable characters and outside of situations where you just don't know what an opponent's moves are the game does a good job making you feel like you're having a mental battle with your opponent.
Probably the most important skill to have in this game if you want to win is pattern recognition. People tend to gravitate towards certain options in the triangle and knowing what they're going to use and countering gives huge damage

The Chus dont even have that little HP, they're both at 570 and I'd consider 600 the 'normal' amount with Lucario and the like at that amount. And there's plenty chars with less than 570 HP

This is true, but scaling and phase damage threshholds keep basically all combos below 275 damage outside of critical hits, and Libre gets ~220 off of a successful crumple or landing her y or forward X
If Libre isn't considered to have low health then I've no idea what the trade-off is for her immense speed and damage

Learn to block. Stunner raw is stupid because it eats through normals and launches you forward, but is super easy to punish on block. Libre also suffers at midrange. Quick attack gets stuffed by normals and can only go through projectiles. If you don't throw anything out, Libre has no good way in minus a divekick. However, do anything and get your assdicked. Then she's good on wakeup because she can reduce your options severely and web/stunner buff/debuff. Also she builds meter like a champ. She doesn't have enough flexability in her options to be the biggest threat in the game. There are far more stupid things.

Pikalibre is all of my favorite qualities in a fighter in one package. Fast, honest, rushdown-focused, and stylish.
She's got straightforward options to deal with just about everything, good damage, and and ridiculous rally potential.
Impatient or predictable opponents get eaten alive, better opponents play more to the rps system to get around libre's speed, but there are some setups and gimmicks to put that in libre's favor
Dive kick and the first y are so fast that you can get countered and still have time to grab

All of these aren't issues. He can apply a shit load of pressure up-close, his damage output can be fucking great if you can fake-out your opponent well enough and if you use your moves wisely when in Burst mode, and most of his combos can be finished on his duel-phase grab. Just keep at it and check out the different training options, he's better than you think.

The best fucking thing I love doing is using burst and then running up to people and grabbing them twice then supering the third time when they try to attack. Works especially well with Libre because of the strong dash

I can tell you that once you know the ins and outs you can counter any play style someone might have. Sludge Bomb bread and butter mind games, cancels, three grabs in a row combo then you mega their shit and DUNK them all day if they dare let you get hypnosis off.
