Serviceable at the very best. The music choice on the base game is pretty awful(Yagyu, Yomi, Hikage, and the third part of Hibari's songs are the only okay ones), a moron like me who can't even play proper rhythm games on higher than medium difficulties was able to beat stuff on hard with just some repeating here and there(Mainly on Mirai, Yomi, and Daidouji), and the hardest moves you have to do are something like

in a second or two at most.
They also don't give every girl an apron, just the main of each group despite the intro graphic having them in an apron. The clothes choice is also just SV outside of that with some panties changed around. Story mode is fun though.
Got the Millenium Fest edition for PS4. I didn't play SV (only SKB and SK2) so EV's gameplay is impressing me so far. It's not anything mindblowing or even great, but I'm certainly enjoying it more than either of the 3DS games. It feels like what the series SHOULD be; Burst felt like a great idea hindered by overly simplistic gameplay, and SK2 felt like a big improvement hindered by hardware limitations. EV has neither of these issues and it's far better a game for it.
Favourite girls are probably Ikaruga (though she's not as good as she was in SK2), Murakomo, Yumi and Miyabi. Ryouna I like also but her masochism deal is a little much for me.

Everyone says this but I don't see it, I really really don't see it. All it asks of you compared to the other games is to spam air drops way more to throw enemies into the air and cancel anything they're doing because every enemy bigger than a thumbnail has super armor, hits like a truck, and loves stunlocking you it they do get a hit off. You can't even do air raves anymore since the enemies love slamming you straight down to the ground as soon as you get like three hits onto them, and there's a high chance of you getting knocked out of the sky when you use the rope on them. Even enemies in SV would let you get an entire combo off before starting up that clash in the air.
It's simpler to just air drop, do three attacks, repeat until you have a couple bars, and then use some Ninja Arts. You don't even need to dodge anything but Ninja Arts started up on the ground, you can just spam air drops until the enemy stops attacking, at which point you can retaliate and do it again.
