Rusty and Ninjatits were monsters at the end of the game even though I didn't have time to max either out. Between the extra range and skills they were pretty OP. Sakura was still the best in the end since she did fuckloads of damage and was 90% of what killed the bosses for me along with Hilda's time resets.

You missed out on Nonoka. Her one skill cloaked her so enemies couldn't attack her on the next turn, and then let her do an extra powerful backstab the turn after. This made her great for running around on her own since she could become untargetable. She also had status effect skills like Paralyze which came in super handy.
With her bonus skills that give increased status effect changes you could use status orbs on her and make her cause all status effects pretty much endlessly, which is apparently an even easier way to beat the bosses than exploiting Sakura lord of the rape.
