Remember using curatives affects an escort if they are "group" based.. 10 spring waters or so will allow you to breeze through them, also they can be healed by mages. Taking on a gore chimera when escorting some dude from cassardis to shadow fort was pretty much gg as a result of the group heal water.

Voldoan armour, is it worth buying new armor before the Grigger fight? Does BBIsles give you the best armour in the game?
Designed an extremely balanced build that nets me 4k hp, 4k stamina and the rest of the stats equalled out for maximum BBI group runs with pawn share parties for flexibility, pawn is doing the same.. She now has 70 levels as a sorcerer to do, wheras I have 60 levels as strider.
While I am glad to not be a warrior anymore in BBI stuff, it is now Strider time, just got level 2 daggers from Daimon, feels good man.

Striders are for climbing and being Cuhrayzee, Fighter is kingpin for frontline.. recruit one using ONLY Dragons Maw, mid/late game that has good inclinations (possibly shield drum if you need that taunt) But Dragons Maw is fucking sick, and makes them immune when spamming it.. Just give them plenty of shrooms..

My Fighter has 70 levels as a sorc to do for Mdef/Matk (only reason for the Matk is because I am doing a balanced build anyway so I can switch her)
But when that is done, she will be a real "Run into the heart of a dragon, spam dragons maw, laugh" sorta gal.
These sorc levels are suffering tho, at least I can pop Weal items like crazy in BBI 2.0 for 1-2 levels at a time.. Offline UR grinding is pretty boring.

Should I get core skills with Sorc like Focused Bolt and Magic Agent? Do they carry over to Mystic Knight like Augments when I switch or would I need to buy them again?.

It's so slow I can't avoid Maneaters instant kills unless I start moving before they cast, even random mooks can take multiple Arcs of Deliverance, it even takes 2 to sever a Saurians tail. What made me finally retreat was encountering my first Eliminator. Managed to get in an Arc right to the head, saw it fly through the air, then get right back up having only taken 1/4th of a healhbars worth of damage. Then it charged me and comboed for nearly 2k

They all inject shaders into a game but they're different.
ENB = per-game shader framework that's closed source. some shader wizards make shader suites for it and typically the games ENB supports look a lot better with said wizards mods. advanced stuff.
SweetFX = shader overlay basically, really basic and works with practically any dx9/dx11 game

like, the way the skill works is by massively staggering enemies, with a big pull in your direction. And all enemies have an innate "stagger value" or whatever that gets buffed as hell in hard mode. But if you hit the enemies a bit, to the point where they start to "feel" your hits, then webbing should work.

The main differences you'll feel are what you miss out on.
Assassins don't get Dragon's Maw or Soul Skewer. I believe they don't get Sheltered Spike either but that's a pretty shit skill. They don't get Perfect Defense or that defense buff either.
The main reasons to go Sword and Shield Assassin:
Dire Gouge (Fun as hell), Clairvoyance and Staredown.
You can also swap out Blink Strike for another sword skill and use Swift Castle instead (Dashes forward with the shield up)

I'm loving the game so far! It's like I'm able to play in a world that has the same inhospitality and dread as the one in the manga Berserk. It's amazing. First time playing it too and I picked hard, which I don't regret. It's kind of frustrating at first, since you're thrown into the world without much explanation and mosf of the things kill you in 1-2 blows, but you learn to love the pain. I just wish you could run around with more stamina, because otherwise you are kind of forced to teleport around, if the location is far away from you and you just need to finish a quest or something. I've only done that once though, so I guess it's not that bad.
I have a couple of questions though. First of all, I can't find the screenshot folder of the game. It's supposed to be in C:\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\Local\CAPCOM\Dragon's Dogma Online\ScreenShot. but my folder has only one file and it's the config file. Second question is - How do you fix the audio? It's way too fucking low, and switching Stereo to ON in the config file doesn't change a thing. And finally, there was a link about all the quests you could potentially miss if going too far into the main storyline; can someone link it to me?
Anyways, lovely game. I love the pawn system. I might be one of the minority of people who hate playing by myself in singleplayer games like this one. Too bad my PC is a total potato, so I can't experience the full 60 fps experience.

You should consider which Augments you want and what stats you're most likely to be reliant on, then choose vocations accordingly. Most people switch to one of the advanced classes at around lvl 10 for stat growth. An OCD min-maxing faggot like myself does this.
Its not super nessecary to do this though, you can also just play as and switch to whatever you like, as skills and equipment are far more important than stats.

The only real issue you can run into is if you play most of the game as Magical/Physical
and then swap to the other type after.
Really more of the game comes down to skill usage, not getting hit etc. although your Leveled to 100 as a Sorcerer then went Fighter character is going to take a lot longer to kill things with a sword.
Even then you'll probably be using a sword with two types of damage on it anyway so it won't be too bad

Yeah, but most people would just turn back and come later with stronger weapons since everything deals shit tons of damage, especially the tanks and archers. Arisen is almost always a jack of all trades male. I appreciate BBI's gear being so broken I can safely get all my stats at decent level (hp/stam 4k) without gimping myself at all.. So I can play lots of different things.. Teach my pawn how to dragons maw on fighter, or switch to a sorcerer and take down UR dragon in 40 seconds.. All works..
90% of the time though my Arisen is an MK, because they are awesome, and benefit from a very balanced atk/matk build.

I wanted to be my pawn my healer mage for most of my run but at level 15 or so I changed him to ranger because I was doing fine without heals and enchants. then after a while I leveled him as warrior for a couple of levels. is he still salvagable as healer or should I just stick with yellow/red vocation from now on?
ALso what does a true healer mage really need? I don't think healing scales with matk, right? he would have only comestation as attack spell and that's more for setting things ablaze, another utitlity focused spell

I'm sort of minmaxing til 100 for an optimal MK/MA build later on, but I honestly don't see it as a chore considering I'm playing as classes I like until then anyway.
I did the first 20 levels as mostly fighter, am in the process of doing 40 levels as sorc (for both gains and convenient pawn training), and will finish with 40 levels of assassin.
I already did bumfuck whatever when I played on console, so this way I might be a bit more optimized this time around.

Even min maxing, Warrior 10-100 is pretty solid all round unless you're going blue.
Lack of defenses is compensated for by its high HP gain, and it has second highest str gain.
Really hard to go wrong using it.

You can drop the portcrystal anywhere in the world, then teleport back to it using a ferrystone.
There's two places in Gran Soren where you can by fuckloads of ferrystones, I recommend doing that.
