It's a normie hobby now. I work at a local gamestore as a side job and you wouldn't believe how many people we get in trading in 360's and PS3's with full libraries of games trying to upgrade to the new generation just to play another fucking CoD or Madden.

The 6th generation was magic because it all happened at once. A huge explosion of amazing games, and it didnt end until the consoles died. That even goes for Nintendo, which kicked off the Gamecube with Luigi's Mansion and Smash Melee. The Gamecube was slow and behind the PS2 and Xbox but there were good reasons to own one.
