Well that's because it wasn't about the Organization, it was about Roxas and his friends. I don't know shit about half the people I work with and only have occasional small talk with the majority of them, the same goes with Roxas and the Organization. The repetitiveness also plays into that daily life aspect of it as well.
With that said, the execution was awful and Days is the biggest example of wasted potential in the series.

I liked Olympus the first time around, but it turned into a chore on the longer versions. And I was also talking about bosses in general, not just optional. Like Traverse Town has a side-scrolling segment out of nowhere. Why couldn't they just make a great dragon boss? They got the gameplay down but they wasted their chance.
I did 100% the game, even though I didn't like a lot of it. I still love the series as a whole, even if the games are getting worse.

The guardian is sort of a morphed symbiote pureblood heartless that is directly connected to the World of Chaos. I say that because he seems to be symbiotic with Ansem - Seeker of Darkness. He comes whenever he is called but doesn't really leave his master, meaning he's never more than a few feet from Ansem.
I think when Terranort lost to Aqua the first time his rage sort of manifested this thing that would shield him and fight with him. But later in KH1 we see its sort of true form the World of Chaos this giant leviathan that Ansem can attach himself to.
As for your second question I would think Xemnas would be stronger. He's a secret boss in KH1 showing he's already above World of Darkness, then he actually becomes one with Kingdom Hearts in KHII which basically makes him a god. Plus we saw in a cutscene with Maleficent and Saix that the Nobodies are easily more powerful than the Heartless.

I don't know recently they seem to be a bit more open in regards to that. The Mickey short from yesterday had Minnie slapping a guys ass. While I don't think that KH would ever have a higher rating, I do think that maybe nowadays that the would be able to get away with a little more since it seems like Disney themselves are lightening up. I think Nomura and Tai have both said that for 3 they really haven't told them No on anything.
I enjoyed this game when it came out. Yes, the leveling and skill system was bullshit, but the mission concept was pretty fun. I enjoyed playing as the different characters, and this was the first KH game that was challenging to me, albeit a bit repetitive at times. Also I think they chose the skills to put in correctly.
