How much money have you spent on the latest "free to start" collect-a-thon Nintencraze, /v/? Your favorite badge set? What's your collection looking like?
Around $10, I only intended on collecting mario maker crossover pins and ghost pokemon.
I've only spent a $1 on this. Most of the time I just do practices each day for free plays.
I really hope they do w re-run of old badges I've missed ones from nov28 and I'm pretty pissed.

I haven't spent a single cent because I'm broke, and even then I don't feel the need to spend on cosmetics for my home screen.
>only at 90ish badges
I'm assuming you don't get a reward for getting 100 right? It's probably just a pat on the back
>The first day when we got 3 or 5 free plays
>Now barely any extra free plays given "Have a good time, alright, anon?"
Once cleared a practice machine three times and didn't even get a bonus play.
>>320095141
none. got bored in a week.
>>320095559
All baito will do is make a more elaborate statue of himself
Haven't spent a goddamn dime, got around 110 badges, my favorite set is Metroid.
Also, did anyone else notice that every catcher is on its last day today? Tonight's update is going to be huge.
>>320095741
To get bonus plays you have to:
Get 10 badges (gives 1 free play per 10 badges)
Get a blue bonus badge (gives 1 free play)
get a red bonus badge (gives 3 free plays)
So if you get 20 badges and a red bonus, you'll get 5 free plays.
Obviously this depends on what practice catcher you get for the day. Ones with a shitload of falling badges will usually guarantee you at least get 10. And more badges means you're you're likely to get a bonus badge.

i have 250 badges i've spent 10 dollars
i don't really like any of the badges avalible right now so im just waiting for an ashley badge
>try doing the Christmas Mario one with the bell
>suddenly the framerate goes to shit
>claw doesn't stop when I let go of A
>only get the 1-up mushroom as a result
That was some bullshit, Baito.
>tomorrow is the last day for the SMB2 badges
>going to have to spend as much as I need to to get all of them
God help me
>>320095545
that's the way to do it, anon, gj. The first dollar I spent was on finishing the Cape Mario set from Mario Maker, and the last $2 or $3 were spentgetting that cheeky pirate-turned-royalty bitch Toon Zelda because that scale machine was completely bullshit.
I'm not proud of myself but fulfilled for now. Probably taking a break from the daily grind to design a Zelda theme and get to some real vidya on the 3DS.
>>320095974
that was my initial goal, but a few machines forced my hand. plus I've been p broke for the last couple of weeks and now I have some extra cash to throw around, so I finally got a new theme for my 3DS, Fast Racing Neo andI just spent three dollars getting Toon Zelda from that blasted teeter totter stage from the last few days
>>320098083
How're you supposed to do that Toon Zelda machine?
>>320097462
I wanted just one Christmas Mario to go with the holiday theme I just accidentally bought into but I haven't gotten one. His Santa outfit is p cute in 8-bit
>>320098518
The one with the pipe is super easy to get. Try to position the claw between the stocking and sack and you'll likely get most of the badges in one play.
>>320098438
It was some unfair shit, anon, not gonna lie. Spent about two bucks on it and a few days of free plays before I finally got it. What I did was, after taking off one of the badges on the right side, you have to wait for the timing on the uneven scale to be so the Zelda badge is on top of the left side of the screen as you head towards it and then you can grab her right by her big head.
I thought that would work for sure, but I think I just got unlucky and she fell over, so I picked dat ass up completely by her side. It was tense.
>>320098681
ty anon, I'll keep that in mind, if I have sanity to return tomorrow. I'm pretty content with my Skyward Sword theme and the new Wind Waker badges, desu
Is everyone ready to try to attempt the famicom bug tonight?
>>320098987
You'll be back.
>>320095559
>>320095963
can confirm. Baito waifu, BFF and protection of innermost desires statue @ 100 badges.
I only spent two dollars.
One for Splatoon badges and one for Nikki badges.
Those are the only series I would spend money on.
I spent five total because I wanted Charizard, Mewtwo, and all the Metroid badges. Outside of that I'm only doing free plays now.
Now if these badges don't carry over to future Nintendo handhelds for customizing shit I'm going to be plenty fucking pissed off.
>>320098438
>>320098724
What are you talking about?
I cleared it on my first try and it was to get rid of a free play.
Here's what I did:
>move your claw all the way to the left (ignore the pile on the scale)
>hit the wall/keep bumping into Zelda
>let go of A and the claw grabs Zelda
>The rest of the items on the scale fall off since the scale is trying to rebalance and the momentum of it knocks the scales into the chute
>You now have everything from that machine
>>320099147
mother of God. why is life so cruel?
>>320099147
Why do I want those rupee badges so much?
>>320099502
Good tip, anon. Maybe you just got lucky; I pretty much tried that the first time I attempted the machine in a free play but didn't quite get the same results, so it became more of a trial and error sort of thing before I finally got it.
>>320099147
>Medli badge
>tfw nikki badges haven't released in europe
>>320099147
>badges look best when zoomed in close
>there's no room to put SHIT
>zoom out
>badges look like shit
Wait if you get free tries from the practice machine, do you only get to use those tries on the one that correlates to the practice machine.
>>320104894
No, you can use them on any machine that's available for the day
>>320105024
Fuck well I'm retarded then. I used all of mine today on the shitty Windwaker one today.
>>320095141
Geez, I really let myself go with this game. I think I've spent a cumulative amount of $30 at this point. Curse you Baito and your incredible ability to sell me on these kick-ass 8-bit Mario badges!
>Me and my addiction to crane games
>tfw you waste like 3 tries on a single badge in some bullshit position
>>320095141
>Nintendo releases a game that's a blatant cash-grab--the game even rubs it in your face
>people still allow themselves to get taken advantage of and spend money on what? "Badge-collecting"?
??????
>get 5 free plays about a week ago when there was nothing I wanted
>get almost nothing when there is Metroid available
When you see a badge you might like, just remember this:
>it's a sticker
>when are you ever going to use it?
>do you get bored of your home menu set up often enough to justify buying one of them?
helps me keep myself from making decisions i'll regret
>>320105580
Who are you quoting?
>>320095141
>>320095141
103 badges
haven't spent a cent
i'm a very patient man.
>>320106176
I myself wouldn't find it very fun if I were paying for it.
Getting the most badges out of the free plays I get is nice. Though I suspect it might start getting awful once we get some reruns. Many badges are only accessible by wasting some plays clearing the place.
Got about 111 right now I think.
I've spent about $5, usually when there's a theme promotion and there's a badge or two I really want.
I hate this game mostly because I have a Japanese 3DS, so I get to see all the cool badges they get that we don't. Swear to god, you jump in and they've got like 3 machines for Fire Emblem sprites, 2 machines for Pokemon frozen treats, a Christmas-themed Ashley machine, like 4 machines for Splatoon, and a hodgepodge of other amazing stuff. Meanwhile the US gets photos of food, a few NES games, and a Christmas-themed Mario machine. Even when I get free plays I don't know what to get because I don't want any of it.
>>320095141
Nothing, I deleted the icon the second Nintendo tried to force this paywall driven crap onto my 3DS.
