So it's like this. We became friends throughroleplaying in an MMOand slowly opened up to eachother more and more as time went on. But even though she and I were really close, there was someone else she was close to as well, and they started online dating. She seemed pretty happy with him, but she had an exacerbation of her anxiety during which I was the only person she knew who really supported her and encouraged her to seek out treatment.
So she gets better, but she still maintains her relationship, and tells me that she's going to meet him in person in a few weeks, but not before revealing that she's started growing feelings towards me too- she loves that I work as anEMTand helped people countless times, herself included. Then we do things we probably shouldn't, and despite her saying "she can't" and "wants to be a good person," we do them again. And again. And again. But even after everything, she still doesn't want to leave him for me, because as she puts it, "if I did that, how do you know I wouldn't leave you, too?" A fair point.
I've gotten over the sick feeling in my chest and we're maintaining our friendship, even after a lot of silence between us when they were together in person, but those lingering mutual feelings are still there. We'll see what happens when she doesn't get to talk to him for a few days.
Is it fucked up that I still want to see them break apart? That I know in my gut there is no way that he can support her like I caninb4 shitty salary- he's fresh out of highschool and makes less than I do, which I've even shown her?
