About the only thing I can see there that I might have been interested in is Project Zero (thats just a new Fatal Frame, right?) but that doesn't warrant buying an entire console.
If someone ~gave~ me a WiiU, I'd probably get NSMBU (I liked NSMB on the DS) and SM3DW, but generally I'm just not interested in that group of Nintendo's main IPs. I'd get MK8 as well, but no MK game will ever be as good as CTR.
Don't know anything about Xenoblade, but it looks like it might be neat.

It's not good enough to warrant the price. Also the digital purchases are tied to the console and if the console bricks they're all gone. Saves can't be transferred whatsoever (saves are important to me). Bad product, with a bad design, and controller that flat out sucks (sticks above buttons, digital triggers). Online is shit too. XBX is great and I am loving the game. It would be my unquestionable GotY, but I sadly can't play it for much longer than half an hour at a time before I start crying at how awful the dub is.
The game is great regardless. But I can't get over how fucking awful it is being stuck with the dub. Feels so damn weird after having played through all of Xenoblade with the Japanese audio. And even then the dub is outright bad in comparison to Xenoblade's dub.
Fucking NoA. Why they had to take the localization away from NoE is beyond me. They most certainly did not make a better job out of it.
So yes. To answer your question. XBX is totally worth it and if you liked XBC you should love XBX. But the localization is dog shit. And you can thank America for that.
I wonder if one could mail NoE and petition Japanese audio DLC or something. Perhaps finding and contacting the people who actually localized XBC and see if their passion can pull some strings somehow.
I would gladly pay for such DLC. I'd pay the equivalent of the full retail price for the Japanese audio alone. I'd actually be willing to pay even more than that.

A lot of those failed to improve on previous games in the series, many of them are censored unnecessarily, some are literal garbage (one is a combination of all of the above).
I like Wonderful101 and Bayonetta 2 despite their flaws, and Super Mario Maker would have been fun if I hadn't done romhacks with friends back in high school.
Because of the WiiU's lack of mainstream appeal none of my friends/family have it, making the multiplayer/party games worthless to me except when they can make a drive to visit.
I basically use it to play Bayo1, Mario Kart 8, and Wonderful 101. I enjoyed playing Super Mario 3D World, but given that the next Zelda is probably going to be on a different system, and that Star Fox is probably going to be trash, it isn't a system I recommend to anybody unless they have a real huge hard-on for censorship and disappointment.
Fuck the tablet, there is fucking nothing that I've genuinely liked about the fucking tablet. Felt fucking great getting an overpriced system and then going out to buy real controllers for it instead of the garbage it came with. Fucking glad as fuck that the legacy Wii controllers it supports include shitty fucking waggle controls for you and your friends. Fucking fuck that.
My nephew used the off-screen play during Thanksgiving last year.
This entire console generation is garbage. At least when I buy rehashes/indie games on the PC, I can get that shit properly backed up at a reasonable fucking price most of the time. Modern AAA/AA game developers can get fucking bent.

My roommate has one and we play smash on it. I beg him to use the gamecube controller. i had to use the wii u pro controller for a month before we could find an adapter so i've used it and the fisher price tablet a fair amount. these days we just play melee instead though.

I own a Wii U, My only problem with it is that the games are too fucking expensive.Paying full price for 2-3 years old games is insane, Most time I put into a Wii U game was for MH3U which I put hundreds of hours into and bought it for 10$ at gamestop. It's just not cost effective when I know I won't get more than 10-20 hours AT MOST out of a 60$ nintendo game excluding a few like Hyrule Warriors especially when I'm the type of person who only buys a full priced game maybe once a year, I get my PC games from deals or the gray market and only get discounted PS4 games. It makes my Wii U just kind of sit there because I don't want to shell out 60$ for Mario Kart 17 electric boogaloo

The point is that the ESRB not only can be extremely fickle and cause a rating of a game to be changed after it's already released, and recalled for unused content that can't be accessed by any official means, but that the ESRB is not a single person or team. There are differences in who is looking at the content and how they rate it, which was my argument. You have no evidence that the changes had nothing to do with the ESRB, because like I've demonstrated, their ratings can vary wildly based on different variables.

What I find detrimental to the gaming industry is how a company like NoA gets to dictate what I am allowed to view in my video games, despite what the original untranslated version of the game had in it.

I'll give you this one, I presented my argument poorly. I am focusing on the censorship in itself though, as a principle. I don't care about what is being censored, I care about the fact that anything is being censored.
The only censorship I would be okay with is an official statement saying the game would get an AO rating in the west, which was the case with Dungeon Travelers 2 (subject to some interpretation, but I gave the publisher the benefit of the doubt).

It oppresses the developer's ability to put panties and breast sliders into their games. I realize that it isn't a needed feature, or an important one, but it is a feature the original developers wanted in their game. They wanted something in the game, and it was removed from foreign audiences.
