I'd say it's going to be Witcher or Fallout 4 since those seem to fit in with choices in the past and the tastes of the people watching it, with the winner depending on if the novelty of Fallout being recent has worn off yet or not, but with the talk about Kojima I'm starting to think they'll award it to him as a send-off.

I'd like to say Witcher 3 or Fallout 4 because TW3 was an overall better experience than the rest and Fallout 4 has the benefit of the mass market casual crowd with Bethesdabucks down everyone's pocket. Then again knowing how close in bed Geoff and Kojima are with TGA I think MGSV will get the nod, especially with the character cast all coming over.

I didn't like it as much. So much was rehashed from 3, NV and the Conelrad mod.
3 had the novelty factor, New Vegas actually made sense with most of its music, even if it was so bugged that it only played the same 5 songs, but other than that it feels like they just took songs that had "nuclear", "geiger counter", "communism" or "the bomb" somewhere in the lyrics and said that that's good enough.
I mean, it seriously isn't bad, but it feels so uninspired.

I played it.
Only the latter half was fun to play.
You basically go from one challenge room to the next, very little platforming in comparison to the first game.
Also after the first playthrough the spectacle of the gigantic flying bosses wears off and you realize they're just sponges with artificially lengthened fights.
Now mind you I haven't played Shadow of Mordor but I've heard good things.

My personal Goty would probably be ranked;
Bloodborne > The Witcher 3 > MGSV > Fallout 4
That being said, I honestly enjoyed all of them. The Witcher would have won if it's combat system was a little better, but the rest of the game was dead on, aside from perhaps the scaled loot.
Phantom Pain would have been ranked higher if the story in chapter 2 was better and if it played a little more like a Metal Gear game. In terms of overall gameplay, it probably deserves to tie with Bloodborne or at least Witcher, but because of the disappointment I found with the ending, along with the lack of boss fights/codecs/snake talking I just can't bring myself to give it Goty or rank it above a clearly better designed game.
There's not much to say about Fallout 4 other than it improves on 3 and Vegas in a number of ways, but it's also a step down when you think about perks, skills, speech options and so on. Think how a similar system was in Oblivion and how it was removed in Skyrim, it's sort of the same thing with this jump in the franchise.

Not really. There's already digital PS1 and 2 classics available on PS3 and Vita so it's only natural they'd do it with PS4 too. And now they've upscaled the games to 1080p 60fps with trophy support, something you can't do with the original discs.

Bloodborne's primary sin is takes the most unique thing about the 'Soulsborne' games: their invasion interactions, and completely throws them out the fucking window. The level design is still solid, the game is fun enough, but it still fails to improve on the interactive mechanics of the original game in the series. Of course they've been chipping away at the most unique shit about the game since Demon's Souls anyway; if only they hadn't hid the fucking mechanics in retarded ways, and brought back proper invasions, even if you had to manually select to allow proper invasions at the start of the game. Fuck 'em, casual bastards.

Bayonetta 2 was fun, but it fucked up the combat system with the guarding. No more CRAAZY combos, the thing that makes the game fucking stylish, and forcing you to go through the game with witch mode no-matter what also made it easy mode. You're fucking forced to use the slow-mo Witch Time mechanic, instead of eventually gettin' gud to the point where you're doing amazing shit without it. At least they did a good job on the Bayonetta 1 port.

I know for a fact /v/ didn't always hate Minecraft, but I know at least half of /v/ hated Undertale right out of the gate, I'd say the game at least had more dissenters than usual for a FOTM game. Just the visuals and rumors about the creator gave a lot of people a tumblr/homestuck vibe despite having nothing to do with that stuff.
