All of them anon. You shouldn't step into the game looking to minmax on your first playthrough, just try around with the different classes and some will click with you. Take your time with all of them since it often takes a few levels to really get going and actually see their mechanics and don't worry too much about stats.
Well, except Mage. Only pick Mage if you're looking to go Sorcerer later on.
Also, since it's Dark Arisen, you don't even need to get to Gran Soren, just reaching level 10 and then talking to someone (you'll know who it is, trust me) in Cassardis at night is enough to unlock the other classes.

I alternate between Warrior and Magick Archer regularly, gear will make the biggest difference to your stats by that point in the game.
Fucking autists in every thread telling new players they need to play the majority of the game as a different class for "optimal stat growth", when gear and your own skill will be the biggest factors in whether you can beat BBI or not.

I was playing DDO for a while, until they cracked down hard on Non-Nips a few months back and had my account banned. It's an ok game, and the higher level stuff is impossible to do without a group. If I want to autistically get the best DPS on my team, I will choose a Ranger with the absolute best equipment. Every other pawn I choose based on utility.
Mage Pawns that aren't using Legion's Might are immediately invalidated. Legion's Might is the only reason to use Mage Pawns. If I want damage i'll get a Sorcerer,
If I see any Fighter or Strider with Aneled or Rusted weapon combos that's an immediate pick. Similar for Aneled + Fire Enchant combos.
Sorcerer pawns with Miasma and Rusted Archistaff and High Voidspell are godly. These weapons are so strong, I love Pawns that use them.
Any magic wielding pawns that have deliberately not upgraded some spells so they cast faster are always good, shows the person with them knows their shit.
In Bitterblack Isle, any Pawns that dont have 100% sleep Resistance are a liability as they end up getting slipped the old 3-Star Roofie by the Grim Reaper otherwise. Similarly Rangers without 100% Possession Resistance are really risky when you're fighting 10 draconids back-to-back. If you have equipment to nullify these ailments, use it. Petrification Immunity is also really good.
I also like pawns that are designed to literally do one thing. Once hired a Pawn that literally only had Grapnel so all it did was constantly disable enemies, was actually really handy. Also a few bowless Striders with Challenger/Scather that were committed to full-time climbing on bosses. Fun things like that.
The main thing is - If I want generic DPS pawns, they are a dime a dozen and few are that useful due to bad inclinations/poor skill choices. Most people on the Rift just have pawns that work for them and that's fine but it makes them bad hires. Anything utility based or with a specific strat or idea are immediately worth it just to try the idea out.

This guy is way fucking over hyping the game. Yeah, it's a fucking blast, yeah you'll get a good bit of fun out of it.
Once you've ran through the game once or twice though you'll see just how small and linear the world is.
It's fucking tiny, there's next to little to do once you've gotten through that initial hype.
There's a fair bit of grinding you'll have to do and a lot of fucking walking back and fourth.
It's fun, don't get me wrong but don't let these fuckers overhype your expectations or you're going to be disappointed.
All I hope is that the PC release of this game shows Capcom that there is a fucking demand for them to make a sequel and not a shitty f2p MMO that is going to ruin the title.

That's only the beginning. Throwing oil on enemies makes them easier to light on fire. Enemies in water take more damage from lightning magic and freeze easier from ice magic. If your character is light enough you can grab onto a harpy and have it fly you up to high places, or just get carried away and dropped to your death. Once you cut off one of a hydra's heads, burning the neck causes it to grow back slower. The game has wakestones that you use to revive yourself when you die.You can use them on NPCs who die too. One guy even gives you a dope shield for it.
