Ratings are still important, and media will be censored if it doesn't quite fit into the target rating category (I think movies are a bigger offender, the difference of ticket sales between R rated films and PG-13 rated ones is quite large). Hello again. It has come to my attention that the newest game in the Bravely franchise by Square Enix, Bravely Second, the sequel to Bravely Default, has possibly had some costume changes regarding the Tomahawk class. More specifically, the changing of the aboriginal costume outfit to that of a standard western cowboy outfit.
Nintendo of America are the publishers for this game in NA, right? If so, I'm just letting you know that I do not support ANY costume changes for censorship reasons, or "cultural appropriation" nonsense whatsoever, and if the Indian costume is NOT in the final release of the game, as it was in the Japanese version, I will not be purchasing Bravely Second.
I did the same with the first Bravely Default when the censorship for the female costumes was revealed years ago, and I do not support this in any manner at all.
