I just used it for the first time in a missionsurvival difficulty. It is annoying to keep repaired but I didn't have to heal as much or worry about the grenade throwing super mutants as much.

The one time I used it I was on hard in full t51, took on that super mutant camp for the brother hood of steel by the lake up north-westish.

That's really good. Even patched I ran into some quest breaking bugs in New Vegas, moreso as my save got larger. Graphical glitches are fine, but being screwed over in a quest or broken mechanics sucks (Ninja perk.)

it's not really about builds, it about which path to take to get the exact same perks as everyone else. You can't approach combat in different ways because everybody can sneak or shotgun to the face in power armor regardless of build

Compared to FO3 and NV, it's a step up in visual, audio, and gameplay elements. Though I have mixed feelings on the new perk system.
Story wise it's a step down from NV, around FO3 level story.
How do I break items without having to drop them?
As soon as I turned on Diamond City Radio, I knew I had but one goal in life. Fuck everything else happening in the game, my only purpose was to beeline straight to Diamond City, find that piece of shit annoying cunt DJ, and fill his brain with so much lead theyd be cleaning the walls for weeks

Yes, my sanctuary the other day was attacked by three waves of super mutants. I did what you're doing now earlier in the game and saved up for a shipment of circuitry so I could make lots of turrets. Without those walls I don't see how all my settlers wouldn't have died.

Kinda cool that happened since I'm using an Unarmed / Luck build.
The Melee and Unarmed attacks speeds are so damn slow compared to FO 3 and NV. Feels like a HUGE nerf desu.
I'm dieing so fucking fast against everything too- it takes like 5 attacks in VATS to kill 1 enemy and Raiders frequently spam Grenades which instantly kill me.
I miss my Spiked Knuckles and Cross-ups in New Vegas.

building is fun but there needs to be a way to break down items on the spot. its fun to find a vault full of stuff but making so many trips back and forth to the workshop bench to dump items gets old. game needs a toolkit or something so you can take apart shit.

In PN03 the enemies are better at fighting as you ramp up the difficulty. Some enemies get new attacks that force you to drastically change position and run around the stage instead of just side-stepping everything like you're used to. Enemies become deadly accurate and the lock on for missile attacks is much better so if you don't dodge at the absolute last second you're going to get hit. One guy gets a transformation into a totally new enemy and the boss fight gets more stages with new attacks.
But it also makes every enemy a crazy bullet sponge. If you start the game on hard with the default armor, without the ability to continuously shoot just by holding down the button, you're going to end up with some kind of carpal tunnel.

Get lucky and find a version of the weapon you want which already has a suppressor (merchant or loot).
You could then switch to 'No Muzzle' and ditch the weapon, but it's likely that if you find a suppressed gun that its other components are good too. Probably better than yours if you're getting by without the crafting perks.
Fully modded plasma rifle with a sniper barrel and recoil compensating stock is overpowered as hell. It does as much damage as a power weapon, but it is semi-auto and fires very fast. Not even the savage deathclaw in the witch museum was a match, I just downed some jet and unloaded 2 clips into the thing.

Been doing sneak build so far but it is getting a little boring. The AI is just atrocious - I can shotgun a raider in the face and then sneak around the corner. The other raiders will look for me for about 10 seconds before giving up. Just rinse and repeat and you can clear an entire base without ever getting shot at.

No, even Destiny is more of an RPG than this and actually has great gunplay to boot. FO4 is an okay open world shooter. It's not bad, it's slightly above mediocre and is competent enough at most of what it does barring some absolutely inexcusably heinous technical issues (bugs, graphical issues, textures, models, etc) and it's certainly a far cry from 1, 2, and NV. Anyone else have an issue with the Emogene find a Lover quest? I made it to her location, but when I enter the locked room to meet here, she just isn't there. You have to kite it well, distracting it with raiders and blasting it hard in the head with the minimum when it gets close so it pulls out of a charge. Which is harder than it sounds with no cross-hair and the thing dodging around like a bastard.
