If there was a new trial they would have said something. They know a large amount of players are upset at there being no new trial so they wouldn't have kept them waiting. Up until now, the level in which you could accept beast tribe daily quests were set; however, we changed the system so that the enemies’ levels are automatically adjusted to match the job/class with which you accepted the quest. There are no level caps on these quests, so I think it will make it easy to use for leveling. However, you will not be able to finish the quests on jobs or classes other than what you accepted the quest on.
I really hope the quests will reward a lot of XP. It will be an incentive for people to do them and it will hopefully break the boring dungeon-filled cycle of leveling.

Well, I admit I got sick of it at 60 and then made nin my main job, but it is not that bad.
It was mainly because keeping heavy thrust up make me angry.

Dragoon was my first level 60 and I have to say that the job is pretty stale to play compared to Ninja or Monk. Don't get me wrong though, Dragoons do amazing burst DPS and bring some decent utility with Disembowel and Battle Litany.
However, their combos are slow and after you used all your jumps and cooldowns then it's just repeating a 123 combo until your dots fall off or your cooldowns come back up. Some people may enjoy the gameplay of DRG but after playing Ninja with 30ms ping, I vastly prefer NIN over DRG even though a good DRG would out DPS a NIN anyday.

4 positionals vs 2, wow it's not like they are hard to do since 2 require you to actually move to the flank instead of standing at the rear like you should be.
Most of the time you're going to using your heavy thrust combo which doesn't have any positionals and if you get lucky you don't even have to move an inch if you get wheeling thrust all the time, so the only time you have to move is to do heavy thrust every 20 seconds or so.

It's the same shit for NINs though. Also as a DRG you have to alternate between the Full Thrust combo and the Chaos Thrust combo since it's more optimal to clip Chaos Thrust. And since you should technically do an Heavy Thrust before every Chaos Thrust combo you have to move betwen flank and rear once inbetween every combo and sometimes more if you're unlucky with the RNG.

The drop rate is apparently very low on Easy, so maybe one chest in 90 minutes will have it. Yes, it's still 'handing' people gear, but that's one piece of good gear for 8 people in 90 minutes.

That's what I'm saying. Since Heavensward is only 4 months old, let's compare it to the state of WoD 4 months after its release.
Since I have no idea how many level 100 characters there was after 4 months, let's just take the current amount (and since some people probably deleted their character).
So, let's imagine that after 4 months, WoD had 1,345,992 characters at lvl 100 for 7,5 million players. That would mean there should be roughly 3 subscriber per max lvl character. If we transpose this number to Heavensward it means that since it has 385,651 max lvl characters, it should also have around 1,2 million subscribers.
Except I didn't mention the fact that WoW is extremely alt friendly while FFXIV encourages to only have one character so let's do all this shit all over again. If we suppose that the average WoW player has 2 max level characters on average and the average FFXIV player only has 1, it would mean that the number of WoW players who have at least one character at max level should be roughly half the number of current max lvl characters, so around 725,000 players.
So it would mean that there are actually 725,000 players at max lvl for 7,5 million subscribers. So that means that the number of subscribers should be 10 times the number of players with at least one max level character. Translate that to Heavensward's number of characters at max lvl and it makes around 4 million subscribers for FFXIV.
And as a FFXIV player I sincerely doubt there are actually 4 million subscribers.
Conclusion: Judging the amount of subscribers by the number of characters at max level is fucking dumb.

download cheatengine
do a scan for a floating point number
move back and forth and check for values that have changed
look for a static (green) pointer that looks like it might be the x or z value
that isn't the pointer you're looking for, but save it anyway by double clicking it since the location of that pointer won't change in between game launches, as opposed to the dynamic pointers that you'll need to edit
after you find the green pointer, search for floating point numbers with values equal to that green pointer
add all of them to the address list and do a binary elimination (i.e. edit the value of half the pointers to see if your position changes, if it doesn't then the pointer you're looking for isn't in that half of the list)
keep doing that until you've narrowed it down to one pointer, the other addresses you're looking for are directly next to that pointer

Anything that requires extra effort will require extra gil; but you can play 90% of the game at an optimal level without going out of the way to meld shittons of materia or jew the markets.
