Okay, so I get the idea behind the #NotYourShield thing. I think it's a good move, because it gives some kind of direction to those of us who aren't white/straight/male to make their voices heard without simply being slapped down for being a white misogynerd. I also think it's important that we make it so that the opposition can't just use gender politics to shut down our arguments.
But guys, remember what this is really about. This is about the games. Don't forget about the developers who are currently being targeted and harassed for speaking their minds. They're the ones who are the real victims in all this, and they need our support.
#NotYourShield is good, so keep supporting it, but it should not be the focus of our attention.
