I've tried using Sai to color something before. Unfortunately, I only had the trial version and I didn't use it enough to learn how to use it properly. The image I was trying to color was already a mess of jpeg'd pixels, so it's not like a bucket tool from paint was going to do the job. I had to manually color over the lines.
I don't know much about it, but like I said, it probably has something to do with the transparency of the layers. You might have to make new lines.

This is neat, but not exactly what I'm looking for. I'm actually trying to take one of these images and make a "3D" version of it for the 3DS. The 3DS camera has a graffiti option to manipulate images into a pseudo-3D look, but I still need a way to share the image online via QR codes.
