That question is kinda subjective and it's probably best to just watch a bit of an LP of RB1 to judge yourself. The game has an entirely reworked script and updated gameplay though so you really can't judge it based on the original. The anime was garbage. The pairing has gained more popularity since then. Though I guess still not enough for CH to realize that people don't want faggot robots liking her. I don't remember anything like that in RB2 either. I think the next main game will be key for UniGear. Hopefully they'll announce it soon because I'm really getting curious.

Well the good thing is you wont see that robot ever again, except for maybe some chirper. I was also a bit disappointed that they took so much time away from Uni interacting with characters I actually care about for mostly pointless robot shenanigans, but it's still better that her getting completely neglected again. She had a handful of really good scenes and some some really cute ones with Nepgear too, so I was mostly satisfied.
I'm sure the Blanc game will be more to your liking.
