Even in this chapter at the end we see Bert buying pictures of Annie from Ymir. Hitch also gave Marlo chocolate in the Valentine chapter. The four arc rule made sense back in season 1, when the first two arcs of the manga combined were just a few chapters long, and the first four arcs together were like 34 chapters in total. But the last two arcs were wholly 36 chapters long – the perfect length for a season, and even ending with a convenient timeskip at the end of chapter 69.
Why would Isayama stick with this inane four arc rule, instead of implementing a rule actually based on chapter count?

I mean, she was keeping her titan status a secret after all, and the other shifters in their midst have turned out to be enemies, so I think there would still be a formal (albeit temporary) interrogation of her until her innocence is proven. Like with Eren. In fact, I think Historia and Hange even acknowledged that was going to happen after Utgard, and Historia was pleading for them to not treat Ymir as a suspect.

I like to think that Historia's isolated and abusive upbringing left her with a very warped sense of self and social skills, which is why she always put on the fake Krista persona to gain acceptance from others.
As an extension of that, since she acts more natural and herself around Ymir, I think she would find it hard to believe that Ymir could actually love a "horrible, empty person" like her true self, and that is why she responds to Ymir's flirting like it is just jokes.

The chances of his editors not knowing the story is extremely unlikely and actually would be pretty weird. He is obviously always discussing current and future events with them of the story. Sasha's death is just one example.

Grisha has a basement, anon. It's fine that he's dead because potentially all of his plot threads can be plausibly wrapped up by the event that has been teased literally since the beginning of the manga: finding the basement.
Ymir doesn't have anything even remotely like that. There's no way you could wrap up anywhere even close to all of her outstanding plot threads with a "Alas poor Ymir; I knew her well Horatio" monologue from some random third party.

You could, though. We received a whole bunch of information about Grisha in a flashback. We could have a similar flashback, by Bertolt, recalling the meeting between Ymir and Zeke. The two of them could have had a conversation that revealed all the secrets she needs to reveal for the sake of the reader, and then Zeke could have killed her.
