Almost -30ºC / -22ºF outside, what's you neechans' favored method of keeping warm?
To be honest, I'm amazed how warm Korrasami still makes me feel inside even after a full year.

From one drunk to another, yes.

I love any art that has Asamiwomanhandling Korra like a babby. For all the "canon little spoon Asami" stuff since turtleduck date night, I imagine Korra would be all about being pampered.

Luckily next week will be slightly less of a reverse inferno. Still -15ºC-ish / 5ºF-ish, but will actually be able to go outside without first having to turn my blood into antifreeze with a barrel of vodka.
Just gonna leave this here, and maybe trigger some of you.
>>1954642
>Kojima was right
Man am I glad he can finally do his own thing now. I got the feeling he was starting to get depressed with Konami forcing him to churn out MGS after MGS despite him wanting to do new stuff.
Let's discuss season 3 episode 1.

Be glad it took a year, nechan.
>>1954686
I'm not triggered.
I... I don't know how to feel.
>>1954720
>SJW ship
Nope. If that were the case, it would have happened back in season one when Bryan wanted it. Instead, it only happened much later when Mike and the other writers were convinced it was the right direction to take.
>>1954720
Stop it /co/, you know it had an actual set up. Rewatch S3 and S4 keeping in mind that at that point Korra and Asami are lovers
>>1954714
Okay.
What exactly were Korra and Asami getting up to during the previous two weeks? The show gives the impression that Mako has barely spoken to either of them during that time. But Korra apparently has been tight with Asami. How did Korra first approach Asami? We see Asami admitting to Korra that everyone knew what happened between Manko and her, but how was Asami before that? Was she just so focused on supporting Korra in RC that she hadn't a chance to bring that up? Or more likely didn't want to?
>>1954733

>>1954774

Suffice it to say, I was surprised when I went back and looked at her hair in the earlier seasons.
>>1954778
Well it's 3D. That alone might be triggering enough on /u/.
>>1954777
>why
I dunno? Cos drink? Imagine it's Fire Wine from the FN. Anywho, nighty night.
>>1954733
>What exactly were Korra and Asami getting up to during the previous two weeks?
I imagine Asami takes at least one week to get FI back in order. Korra is probably recuperating then too, as well as stabilizing things in the WTs. They both only take the week to do all that because they're just that amazing, and take full advantage of Bryke's inability to cobble together realistic economic/government/otherwise bureaucratic systems.
>The show gives the impression that Mako has barely spoken to either of them during that time.
Nope, he wallowed and sulked. Korra shrugged and said "Oh well. Hey Asami!"
>How did Korra first approach Asami?
I'm inclined to think Asami approached Korra. They run into each other on Temple Island. Or possibly at City Hall. Asami's there for paperwork and Korra's there to bang her head against a wall--er, discuss the spirite-y changes to RC with Raiko.
>how was Asami before that?
Hmm. Probably a combo of trying to be supportive and not wanting to bring up an uncomfortable topic if Korra didn't. And perhaps at the start she was unsure if they would be close friends, so held off. Then after spending so much one on one time together she realized they were fast becoming best friends, so she decided to broach the subject to lay it rest so it wouldn't hang over their friendship. Then she says "screw friendship what I really need is a true gal pal" and starts flirting.
>>1954778

>>1954790
I am extra triggered by the fact that you did not spoiler your image.
>>1954791
>spoiler
Dang, this doesn't fit as neatly as the Silent Hill AUs... Asami should be Alphys, but she should also be Chara. Mako fits Papyrus to a tee. All pomp and glory, but ultimately, Sans is the one that poses the true challenge. I really don't know if Tenzin or Tonraq should be Asgore.
>>1954795
>Even though I'm not a fan of her sky blue tank top
She actually spent at least half of the first two seasons in her navy jacket.
>I wonder how she'd look in that with her bob cut?
I imagine adorable. The baby blue gives an air or innocence the royal blue doesn't.
>>1954797
I figured Korra was the Chara by virtue of going on a "date" with Papyrus and Alphys. You know much like Korra does after all.
Now I want to see Mako in the Cool Dude outfit.
I want to see korra getting eaten out by asami and another girl at the same time. or korra and asami both eating out a girl at the same time
>>1954801

>>1954800Aren't Chara and Frisk distinct?
>>1954801
I don't think Korra and Asami are necessarily predatory agents of the gay agenda. Though I could imagine either of them being wrangled in by the airbender girlfriends during book three when they saw how obviously gay Korra/Asami was.

Could have had Opal be friends with Korra and fangirling over her like Bolin but with actually having a reason to be around because the jumpstart of a new nation.
But I guess Bolin needed a place to pool his lava.
>>1954805
No problem.Uninteresting cultural titbit: Chara means "Friend" in Gaelic, so the fandom name choice for the lost child had a nice resonance for me.
>>1954809
Opal could have filled a nice slot in Team Avatar. Sadly, the showrunners were too concerned with everybody's favourite to pursue that.
>>1954817
Don't get me wrong. I don't want Opal to be gay. I just think she would have offered a lot as part of the group dynamic. I really would have liked to have seen her interacting with Asami and Mako as well as Korra and Bolin like we see.
>>1954822
The Krew was already, how should I put it, struggling with having everyone do something (Asami) so Opal might have complicated things even more.
>>1954817
Well, she was awfully butthurt about Kuvira even before she went all spirit weapon of mass destruction. Like Kuvira being awfully fixated on Su, there's just enough there that makes me side eye them just a little.
I mean I'd peg all three of them a bit gay over Kya and Lin, who don't give us any gay subtext at all.Well maybe not Su, she only did it once for attention.
>>1954823
At the point Opal is introduced the group has honestly split into Korra/Asami and Mako/Bolin, with interactions here and there, but mostly sticking to those pairs. I'm thinking that perhaps during the Zaofu trips in Book Three, and the posts "Reunion" scenes in Book Four that it would have been fun to have Opal interacting with the others as a group.
>>1954826

>>1955528
Suki is pretty low tier.
>>1955532
She's really not. At first she seems maybe just above average, but in Boiling Rock and Sozin's Comet she's way competent. Not Ty Li level, but close combat with no bending? Top level.
>>1955547
Well gee, what an excellent rebuttal. Smirking.
>>1955565
You beautiful beast, you.
>>1955542
Top level compared to faceless poor quality soldiers, maybe.
I have trouble believing she'd be "top level" against say, a skilled Dai Li agent (not using bending), or the better chi-blockers. Basically anyone with a decent amount of training an experience, because that's all she is, not amazing skill or talent, just training.
>>1955892
Apparently I got a warning for posting just Korra in the Korra thread.
I'm as confused as you are anon. Do they think Korra is a man?

>>1956023
I always liked the idea of her being a swimmer.
>>1955942
The only Dai Li agents shown to be highly skilled are benders (actually do we even see any nonbending agents?). Also Suki does hold her own against Ty Li on rematch. And managing to take over an entire FN airship seems something only someone with very high level skill/talent can do.
I honestly don't see why you're so bent on dragging Suki down to barely above average when the show has pretty blatantly shown otherwise.

I could see a fast track to a judge (and they exist in the Avatarverse) annulling Varrick's stake in Future Industries, but even that would take some time, so a week minimum seems about right.
>They both only take the week to do all that because they're just that amazing

>Nope, he wallowed and sulked. Korra shrugged and said "Oh well. Hey Asami!"
I wouldn't be surprised if Asami was glued to Korra all the way back on the ship to RC. When Korra arrived back in RC, Asami was all about her, even though Asami thought she herself was still with Mako. She seemed pretty in awe of Korra's accomplishment (and she's eager to talk about it again in Book 4) when Jinora wakes up.

The problem wasn't that there were politics (although there was probably more than there should have been), it was that they made no sense whatsoever. Like Asami's business sideplot or even Mako's detective work, it's got strong potential to tie into the regular plot/world build/character build, EXCEPT BRYKE ROYALLY F'ED IT UP and we instead got "only smart person in the entire world" Mako and "doesn't know the basics of business/ is helpless" Asami, which culminated in "oh god not this shit again" Masami 2.0. So I guess it's good Bryke didn't bother with much more bureaucracy beyond surface level after Book 2. Although I really enjoyed that one quip from Bumi about how it's totally legal for the Earth Queen to kidnap the new air benders for her army, and everyone just ignored that.
>>1957020
>Although I really enjoyed that one quip from Bumi about how it's totally legal for the Earth Queen to kidnap the new air benders for her army, and everyone just ignored that.
Heh. Well it IS.
>>1957020
More like Bryke ignored it when Tenzin and Korra kidnapped them into the new Air Nation.
Sucks to be the Air Acolytes too. Tenzin didn't consider them worth anything because they couldn't bend.
>>1957028
>Heh. Well it IS.
Under any other circumstances, as the Avatar, Korra should have been stopping Tenzin and the others. But the whole dealio is to maintain the cultures, and if there was a chance to resurrect the Air Nomads, she had to take it. In that respect, Avatar's word > Earth Queen's word.
>>1957030
Tenzin's a very flawed person. He flat out admitted to Bumi that even as Aang's son, he was only able to become a true member of the Air Nation when he gained airbending.
>>1957039
Wars have started over less.
>>1957039
>Tenzin's a very flawed person.
It's also through Tenzin and his interactions with his siblings that we see how flawed Aang had been.
He had been so excited to have an air bender around and the opportunity to really start to revive the Air Nomads that he completely neglected his other children.
From what we know of Aang from ATLAB, he wouldn't likely do this on purpose, but just get so caught up in his excitement that he forgets important details, like his other two kids.
So Tenzin, getting the special treatment, didn't even realize how much Bumi and Kya resented his favoritism.
>>1957048
Which is why they tried to go the quiet route (sneak out the airbenders) rather than the loud route (Korra Avatar states the palace into the sky). The Queen would have used either as a pretext for an attack anyway, though all the other nations would have likely sided with Korra.
>>1957086
>all the other nations would have likely sided with Korra
Ha! Good one.
>>1954732
Hate to break it to you, but if you have to watch it with a certain mindset in order for it to make sense, then it's poorly done. I remember watching S3 and S4 for the first time and knowing full well that Korrasami might become a thing, still none of their behavior was out of the ordinary for best friends. They had so many opportunities to break out of that mold, but they never did until the very last scene. Compare that to how obvious Korra's and Mako's feelings were for each other, and it's not even close. It was shittily done, and even before they were called out on it Bryan accused everyone who didn't think it was very good of being homophobic.

I think Bumi and Kya were reticent about how they felt and acted out in other ways. Katara wasn't omniscient, and Bumi would have been nearly an adult when Aang was showing his favoritsm to Tenzin. She likely wrote that off. As for Kya, she probably assumed her behaviourwas just a gay thing.

Worst ship in avatar it was all just fan service and pandering to sjw's cause they have to ruin everything in pop culture only thing good about korrasami is that it's hot.
>>1958111
Oh, /co/, you're just so cute sometimes. Like a tiny little toy dog that barks at everything that moves, convinced it's some totally ferocious guard dog.
>>1958111
>Worst ship in Avatar
How quickly we forget Makorra.
>>1958111
>only thing good about korrasami is that it's hot.
You honestly find Asami attractive? Like I can't get past how Asami's jaw is so sharp that it could puncture the hull of an empire-class Fire Nation battleship, leaving thousands to drown at sea, because it's so sharp.
And Korra's new haircut sucks.
>>1957872
Maybe and no. I think Bryke said they liked to think she is.
>>1957872
Yes and yes.By which I mean yes and no.
>>1958213
Kinda lame how Korra and asami couldn't kiss
>>1958111
Minimum effort bait. At least copypaste something longer next time. You shame Concerned with your lack of effort.
>>1958242
Bryke wanted them do. Nick axed the idea. Then decided to bask in the praise that LoK received after the ending.
>>1958246
> Win that big lottery going on right now
> Make offer to Nick to but Avatar Franchise
> Continue making Avatar content
> All is well.
>>1957872
I think /co/ said she was a lesbian because she's a sexy cougar who's single so she must be gay.
>>1958354
She could be both anon. She could be a sexy lesbian cougar with commitment issues
>>1958343
The one in Spain is larger, and in euros so more value.
Now do you mean Bryke win and continue which they clearly aren't full on board with since they are working on other projects separately with the occasional Skype or Cali. meet-up? Or someone wins who hires people that can actually write well consistently?
>>1958533
The latter. I'd rather have people who want to work on the show.
>>1958533
>>1958552
I think they're both done with the Avatarverse as a TV franchise for the time being. You could probably get them right on board for a oneoff animated movie though, whether AtLA or LoK. I'd really enjoy seeing either. Not an "end of the world" story. Just some exciting episode in either main characters' life. Mid-twenties Korra fighting some rogue former EK state with increased sci-fi influences. Or Zuko uncovering a conspiracy/rebellion against him the FN.
>>1958582
>rogue former EK state with increased sci-fi influences
Could you get Bryke to finally admit that Suyin is a villain?
>>1958234
>empire-class Fire Nation battleship
I prefer the Interdictor class one's myself.
>>1958234
>>And Korra's new haircut sucks.
Yeah. Shoulda gone with the pixie cut.
>>1958813
Better not. That would totally have played into the homo stereotype.
>>1958813
>>1958814
Korraang better?
>>1958816
Friendly reminder that the next Air Avatar won't bite into the AirKikeNation bullshit.
>>1958815
>>1958816
Asami'd hit it like she was driving brand new Satomobile.
>>1958234
>And Korra's new haircut sucks.
Shit taste confirmed.

Thanks for reminding me.

Seeing that maybe Asami should be Frisk. Seeing as she has no problem throwing money out of the window too.
>>1958887
Nah can't be. He's too good an artist.
>>1958888
She considers it well spent.
>>1958889
Oh snap, sis.
>>1958889
>Nah can't be. He's too good an artist.
It's not quality. It's about his vision not being recognised and acknowledge by "high class" art snobs like Huan.
>>1958891
>Oh snap, sis.
So it's gonna be Ikki. With Huan as her Göbbels.Suyin, of course, was never at fault
>>1958882
Just a reaction image.
Janitors around here are faggots about that sort of thing.
>>1958896
The poster and janitor is a faggot.
>>1958894

But that wouldmake Suyin HItler![/pol/]
>>1958916and she's clearly worse

Get off of /u/, Lin.

Huan would need kids to poison to make that work

And you apparently can't play along either. It's "Yìduān" by the way.
>>1959537

>'haram' is literally from the area east of Greco-Roma known as 'Asia'
>>1959554
The religion that uses it clashes horribly with the avatar setting though.

No one cares about your opinion, Kuvira. History's written by the winners.

I know, right? It's got everything. Mechanic Asami. Slightly belligerent (well, let's say "determined") when drunk Korra. Asami giving Korra grease eyebrows in retaliation. All in a pleasant drawing style.
Kneechans tasukete me!
I've pretty much emptied my /u/ manga repository over the past several days but the aching, it just won't stop. Been mere weeks since I finished rewatching LoK too so that's too soon to do again.I know now why so many of you drink so muchBut I don't think I can do that what with the heartburn that makes me want to shoot myself every time I ingest even a little bit of ethanol
>>1960482
I get your pain (in both respects). Gonna do a stream tomorrow to make up for not being able to during the anniversary.
