To be honest, I'd say that Yellow Diamond's bunch on the whole should use Depeche Mode for inspiration. Yellow Diamond herself is 80's businessmom already.
So, in light of David Bowie's passing, I'm going to draw Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl as different David Bowie personas, and then a followup with Lapis, Peridot, and Jasper. Pearl is going to be the Thin White Duke (no exceptions, unless you can make a REALLY good argument against it), and I've mostly settled on Amethyst being Ziggy Stardust while Lapis is Aladdin Sane. Any other suggestions?

The sole negative aspect I'm seeing is that the color is kinda pale and muted. Is it something that usually happens when you scan up a picture (some scanners are worse about this than others)? Also, what do you use for coloring? In my experience, some of the best bolder colors in dry media (looks like colored pencil here) are Prismacolor soft leads. You don't have to apply them very hard to get the desired color out of them, and blending pencils help with things like texture or oversaturation, as well as smoothing out the transition from one color to another, which makes shading all kinds of surfaces easy to figure out. Even with how pastel SU stuff is, those pencils are excellent for it. The only problem is that you're going to be running through a lot of blending pencils if you use them.
Again, it's far from bad, it's funnily lewd, and to be honest, it's good to see someone else who puts their own stuff on 4chan. Some of the best concrit I've ever had came from here, /u/ specifically. Experiment and practice as you go, and you'll only get better, mang.

And I used Crayola because that's just what I had on hand at the moment. I have color blenders but I couldn't be arsed to use them. Prismacolor is a lot better, though the lead is softer so it can smear if you're not careful.

Which is an assumption that stems from her not having a lot of time to show a personality off. It's supposed to be that she's in some kinda state of nirvana, keeping her at peace and calm whenever her components aren't bickering. She is both precise and free at the same time, but this also leads to her being a bit of a ditz, forgetting particular tasks at hand because she's too busy enjoying herself; an example of this is when she saves Steven in Giant Woman. To Pearl and Amethyst (and by proxy, Opal), Steven's well-being is far more important than the Heaven Beetle, and so when she fucking murders a dinosaur bird with her bare hands and then bubbles the flock of tiny ones, Steven is safe, and so far as she's concerned, the day is a success.

I still kinda want to see Lapis become a tragic villain, because if there's any point that could be made with her, it's that people can only take so much shit before the damage becomes irreparable. They could have her just go flat-out crazy, and this time not due to the sorry shape of her gem, but from the emotional strain being too much.
However, I know they won't do that, because the devs are going more for "Everyone has some good in them!" than anything else.
