Just in general, I love how Lady Lady are referred to as one person and that their relationship is a firm part of their characters right from the start. No other couple from the games, manga, or show are going to be able to have the same kind of deep connection since they're set up to be interchangeable, or they have to be seen going through the progression of unfamiliarity to devotion like MireiMamo. Unless there are some equivalent lesbian senpai in the games, but I kind of doubt it.

Truth be told people are probably really more annoyed with the writers than they are with Mamori herself.
All the promotional material shows Mirei and Mamori as incredibly close and obviously deeply in love and while Mirei has shown she has those feelings throughout the show, Mamori hasn't and after 8 episodes the peak of their relationship is still in episode 3.
