Thanks anon, I saw this when Yoshimura Kana started that yuri twitter campaign and was hoping someone would translate it.
It started off really promising, progressive story set in America and instant proposal, but I'm not too happy with the direction it's taking the topic. The all-consuming angst and complete lack of communication isn't making me too hopeful that they would ever have a happy and successful marriage even if they somehow dig themselves out of this depressing hole they're in. These two look like they were a couple for years, so I'm not really sure why getting married would have the same angst normally brought up when coming out. Maybe they stayed closeted to their American friends this entire time? We don't see them interact with anyone besides neighbors and coworkers, but if they hang on each other in public enough to get seen by homophobic bosses they would probably be out to someone, right?
And are they actually living in or around West Hollywood? I'm not feeling the culture clash that should be present from a Japanese citizen in one of the gayest places in America.
Feel real bad for the little girl side story, I hope it fits in to the main story in a more positive way soon.I almost expected her to accidentally kill him with the bottle because this series is getting more and more tragic by the page.

I don't think it's related. Maybe Saki learned to ignore strangers looks, but people she knows is a different case. She lives in the comfy neighborhood that dulled her senses and now she got brought back to the homophobic side of the world. She's just connecting it with marriage now. Or that's what I think.
Anyway, it's clear how she will remember the promise to get married they made at school and comes with terms about her sexuality.
