Not so much the quiet part, but Ruby is still pretty damn cocky, it just isn't outwardly shown in her personality and is veiled by her childlike demeanor. How many times has she charged into battle by herself, pretty much expecting to win no matter what? She even does it in her very first fight after pairing up with Weiss, then again with the giant scorpion, the fight with Torchwick at the end of V1, etc...

Except this is exactly what she is, she's just not presented in the way people have come to expect with that kind of character. She's very hesitant to reveal much about herself, looks at her position at Beacon as more of a business arrangement than anything, and only starts to warm up to her team near the end of V1. One look at what we've been shown of her past and how she feels about it has enough insecurity to fill a book. She was born into everything, yet as we were shown in that one V2 episode in the abandoned city, all her family legacy seems to do is unsettle her. Don't even get me started on how herincredibly gaythoughts must weigh on her when she undoubtedly has the "destiny" to continue that legacy, as in, marriageto a man and not Ruby.
The show's writing still sucks, and maybe I'm reaching way too far on some of these points, but don't let the determination to hate the show blind you to what it actually does give us.

You can absolutely be experienced in liking things.
For instance, being experienced in watching and liking anime, listening to music, reading doujins, etc. This changes the way you approach the medium. E.g. Without experience watching anime, it is unlikely you would understand a boke tsukkomi routine, a girl running late to school with bread in her mouth, the implications of a kouhai calling her senpai "onee-sama", etc.
In this case, imouto is trying to point out that a lot of WR fans in these threads have shown signs of not realizing they are wearing goggles, and then freaking out when things like Neptune happen. People who haven't really dealt with shipping before can easily get swept up in the energy of the fandom and fool themselves into thinking that the ship is anything more than looking at two characters with goggles on.

To be fair to the "inexperienced" WR fangirls, it'd be hard not to get swept up in a fandom that has the kind of culture that leads to gay fanfics outnumbering het 5:1. Most of them dropped from these threads like flies after the whole Neptune thing anyway, and those that didn't adapted to the changing climate. I'm more disappointed about how their rampant fangirling pre-Neptune, and their wailing immediately following Neptune, seemed to have left lasting impressions that has apparently made some anons here very bitter about WR. It's not a bad ship, it's just not a canon one.

In all seriousness, Ozpin knows he's from the Arc line, and probably thinks he can become great. Pyrrha has helped show that it's possible. If it weren't for his too fast improvement, his over-amount of screen time, and constant harassment of Weiss, he might actually be a good character. He can actually be funny at times.
But if Jaune becomes the "Guardian" Ozpin mentioned in the last episode instead of Rubythough unlikely, I'm willing to accept Penny instead, I'm dropping the show, maybe even the fandom.

Also, yes, Noxus Wyvern was my Dragonborn character, so yes, he would be a fan-hated dragon faunus. But let me just say, I rolled a 8 for charisma and a 4 for wisdom.. His default plans usually involve eating his way out of a situation, and he would probably challenge Yang and lose twice; the second time he tried eating her hair because it looked tasty and got insta-KO'd. He was my funny idea of a generic Fighter class, and continues to be so in my head and heart.

Team leader J is a pretty shit fighter on her own, but is a quick thinker and has a compelling voice for a Semblance. Is far more effective in a support role. Weapon is some fancy glove that uses science magic dust aura bullshit to heal her allies and drain foes on touch.
Her Partner is a wild girl from outside the kingdoms, still a little bit feral with little social tact or grace. Whirls about in combat with two axes, little concern for personal well-being since she has complete confidence in leader patching her up.
Third girl is tall, strong and delicious brown. Apathetic, snarky and blunt, uses minigun/drill gauntlets for maximum cuhrazy
Her partner is a perky sniper girl with crazy good skills but no options in close range.
Both sets of partners are hopelessly gay for each other. First pair is more open about it with wild child making no attempt to hide her affection and dependence she has for leader. In return, leader has an endless supply of patience for her shenanigans and always believes in her. Second pair aren't quite as forward about it, their relationship doubling as a competitive rivalry, but all too often the forget their radios are on an open channel when their snarky little arguments escalate into aggressive flirting

Leader is pretty average in most respects; average height, average build, blonde pixie cut. Hazel eyes. Yellow colour theme, tomboyish outfit with her weapon arm sleeveless and bare. Warm and friendly disposition, hand always at the ready for motivational head pats
Feral girl is shortest on the team, thin and scraggly, somewhat underdeveloped. Frizzy, messy red hair, big innocent blue eyes. Red colour theme. Needs new clothes all the time since they have a tendency to get all shredded and ruined, hates wearing shoes but will settle for sandals if she must. No sense of personal space. Always has a crazy grin like she's about to do something she isn't supposed to, and she probably is.
Big girl is easily the tallest on the team, one and a half heads taller than leader. Sandy blonde curly hair tied back in a long ponytail. dark skin. Deep blue eyes. Green colour theme. Very solid amount of muscle toeing the line between fitgirl and musclegirl. Long, flowey open coat bares midriff. Usually scowling at some bad joke her partner said.
Sniper girl is just a few inches shorter than leader, also shorter than her gun. pale skin and freckles, shoulder length ginger hair. Most endowed on team. White colour theme. Green eyes. Very acrobatic and flexible, usually grinning at some bad joke she told her partner.

I'm glad I was helpful. I just wish I was good at art cause I would make a mv of Ruby kissing Weiss in slow motion with O Fortuna playing in the background. In the beginning it would slowly switch between showing someone throwing a white rose into the air, with a bright sun, and Weiss going in for the kiss. Because the kiss is supposed to be the big moment/peak/apex of the video. The slowness of the motions leading up to the kiss would have the viewer anxious and saying "JUST KISS ALREADY" and when that moment finally happens, it's a relief and wave of joy to the viewer. At least, that's what I would hope to convey.

Nothing wrong with it. Just that english localization will never happen officially with the head of Imageepoch going awol and all and the company filed for bankruptcy. There is a group of people working on translating it into english but it's taking some time because of hardware limitations on the PSP (I don't remember if it was hardware or software limitations. All I remember is that there was a problem fitting all of the english text on screen). At least, the last I heard they were still working on it. If you can read Japanese, then it wouldn't be a problem for you.
