Are you referring to the file format of the provided raws, or the format in which the scanlation release is saved in?
The "standard" is PNG from what I understand, although if they are taking photos of the book on a phone camera it will likely be in a .jpg format.

I'm almost done translating the 3rd chapter and my god they make everything so difficult by using 必然 and 宿命 and 運命. And defining it. I was very liberal with choosing how to word their conversation but it feels like that'll fall flat with the third chapter being like this.
So, I just wanted to check in with typesetter anon working on chapter 1 about the translation of Nozomi and Maki's parts regarding those, do you think you can change some of them?
It's something really small, but I think would flow well by the time of the 3rd chapter. The ones between the /.../

From the quality of the second set (and the apparent bleed-through), they must have been scanned, not photographed. So if the regular pages could be scanned to PNG that would be super awesome, color or grayscale doesn't really matter. Ideally even the cover/color pages would be PNG too, although that might make for an obnoxious file size on scanner anon's end so JPG is fine there.

It's mere speculation. Kouhaku viewership has steadily dropped for years, μ’s appearances on NHK programs always see viewership spikes, hence the rumor. A number of speculative articles have suggested the possibility since 2014.
Anisong on Kouhaku, with the exception of Nana Mizuki, has had the tendency to receive a lukewarm reception. So it could be that μ’s appearances on mainstream media in the past couple of years were testing the waters to eventually culminate in going on Kouhaku; or if we look at it from the pessimistic end, the most they will venture because the Kouhaku audience may well just have a meh response to μ’s.

I dunno, the original pages given to us was from the camera shots and I believe anon just made it prettier for cleaning. I don't think we had any different versions. I did my translation based on the camera shots so when I checked the better one to check bubbles and stuff, I saw those two missing.

Jokes aside, she has a condition with her knee which was diagnosed this year as chronic. Rehab helps, as does rest, but she's been sidelined because long travel (such as the Lantis Festival stops overseas) and dancing (which is, of course, a major part of μ's performances) are out, at least until she's recovered enough. During the Fan Meeting Tour, she sat out of the majority of the live acts, save I think for Garasu no Hanazono at Nagano, which was done with her seated.
She's repeatedly pointed out that she can still sing, and that was presumably why fripSide, who don't have many dance sequences in the first place, can go on tour.
The Aqours First Years went in Hiroshima on Saturday and Tokyo on Sunday.

On one of the later Radio Garden episodes Kussun talked about how Mimorin took her Nozomi-purple eyeliner to doodle on Kussun's mole, presumably the one on her arm. The NHK special live last week also had one MC where Mimorin said the "Takeshi", which is what they dubbed the move in Yume no Tobira that Soramaru was demonstrating, was named by her. Takeshi is the unfavored nickname for Kussun's dog which she loathes to the extent that she will block people on social media who use it.
Rippi always makes a fuss about how Kussun is annoying (read: too overtly affectionate) and such, but as mentioned above, Kussun was invited to her first solo live as a VIP, they went to LA together, and hang out offstage a lot.

I have a potentially dumb question. In the score match I see a lot of players whose names are / μ's / _______. Is that somehow related to /u/s or 4chan or something?
FYI NicoMaki scanner anon, the JPG artifacts seem to be up a lot and the quality down, compared to chapter 1. But the files are way bigger, because the resolution is way bigger, despite the drop in quality. So for the next one if you can, turn the scanning DPI back to what you used for chapter 1, and save as grayscale PNG instead of JPG. Or if it has to be JPG, at least try to use the lowest compression setting; the artifacts were't this bad in the first chapter.

Another thing, considering that not only are bubbles missing, but Maki's hair is missing its fill on one of those same pages, I'd say the scanned versions are the original print, while the photos were of the reprint which had a few minor additions. I guess I'll edit in the bubbles, but there's only so much I'm willing to alter to make the scans match the reprint should something else like this exist in the last story.

The other Aqours girls seem to have taken to calling Rikako "Gahaku", a title for artists which has become associated with comedic connotations lately, think the kind of strange distended figures drawn by people like Kobayashi Yuu. Her lack of serious artistic ability is said to have come from her mom, whose drawing she posted on Twitter some time back.
Suzuki Aina (Mari) isn't on Twitter as much compared to the other two but she comes off as kinda dorky just like them, particularly when they have conversation threads.

I wanted to watch Love Live for a while, but problem is, I'm not that much into idol shows. Should I even bother trying if I couldn't sit through the first ten episodes of Idolmaster? Is it enjoyable outside of s/u/btext? Generic school shows are fine with me, it's the idol stuff that irks me.
