Jeanne xCerezastill OTP.
Eyes of Bayonetta 2 artbook was announced and will be released in Japan in 12/20 in Japan, hopefully it won't take 4-5 years to get an English version this time.
Hopefully the new artbook will give us more insight into their home life.

>A kiss for getting her up and for breakfast before Jeanne heads off the class.
>>1638463
>Of course, a certain "Sister" shows up a Jeanne's high school.
>>1638461
Bayonetta as the responsible one of all people?
>>1638487
Jeanne just wants to "laze around in bed all day after an eventful night", but Bayonetta's not nearly a subtle enough person to pick up on those hints.
>>1648983
>>1651634
Just finished Bayonetta 2. It was pretty gay. BButthe combat over all was a step down.
Gonna dump a few photos here.
>>1653399
I played Bayonetta 1 & 2 one after the other for the first time ever recently, and I liked 2 a little better.
Possibly because 2 adds demon enemies. Possibly because 2 doesn't have fucking Grace'n'Glory.
>>1655095
but there's no Joy (although I have so much joy with the gameplay -I don't own a wiiU-)
>>1656082
Not with that type of language young lady.
Happy 603rd birthday to Jeanne.
>>1656526
Forgot Bayo's birthday was on Dec. 19th.
>>1656082
Well, if you insist Little One.

Yuri Kuma Bayonetta
"hair strap-ons that magically ejaculate" aren't EXACTLY futa but they're too close for most of you so I'm skipping those bits
Nice to see someone else posting.
So anything canon in Bayonetta? Or must we wear goggles?
>>1728918
Goggles, the creator of Bayonetta won't outright confirm of deny if they're in a relationship and they're a fair amount of things in the series that could be seen as hints that they're in a relationship.
>>1728964
Of all the gay subtext games ever made, this should have been the one least likely to be shy over confirming it.
>>1728964
Isn't it funny how the writers of children's television are less chickenshit about this stuff than the creators of M-rated videogames?
>>1729026
Japanese games, not M-rated videogames.
TLOU writers were pretty direct to confirm Ellie's sexuality, for example.
>>1728918
It's more or less canon, just not explicitly stated by anyone outside of the game. They're shown to live together in Bayo 2, spending Christmas (a romantic holiday in Japan) together, casually discuss kissing as if it's something they've done plenty of, flirting with each other even more than Bayonetta normally does, Jeanne slips up and calls her "Darling, er, Cereza" at one point, and let's not forget that Bayonetta literally goes to Hell to save Jeanne and in Luka's journal it's explicitly stated to be because of romantic love that she does it, not just ~friendship~.
>>1729247
When exactly does this slip-up occur? I have to see it.
>>1728964
Considering how on point and direct Kamiya is about other aspects of his waifu, it's kind of funny that he's being so ambiguous here.
>>1729247
This. It's not like Nanoha. There is no other interpretation, therefore it is not subtext, therefore it is canon.
>>1732901
Who cares if it's still coy bullshit?
>>1732901
>Nanoha
>other interpretation
>>1732831
When Jeanne comes to save the day in a fighter jet and Bayonetta and the Lumen Doge are ontop of it.
>>1729026
It's not really "chickenshit". Bayonetta's romantic interests don't really factor into the game itself.
I like the way they handle it. It's not paraded around because it doesn't need to be
Any doujin recommendations?
>>1734049
It isn't paraded around, but it isn't all that obvious, either. I agree that it was fairly enjoyable for /u/s but I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of non-/u/ never even realize that Bayonetta and Jeanne were a couple, which for a game as ambitious and provocative as this is a shame. It would have been amazing to have a high-profile and confident character like Bayonetta shown to be unambiguously gay.
>Platinum original claim that Nintendo had their back when it came to Bayonetta2
>Nintendo doesn't add Bayonetta to Smash Bros. or create her own Amiibo
>tfw Bayonetta will never be a true Nintendo gal
>>1734241
I hope everyone submitted Bayonetta for the smash roster request.
Surprisingly little good stuff. I guess the official artwork did the work for us
>>1745984
The second game doesn't fuel the ship as much as the first one does. There are hints and such, but Jeanne doesn't appear as much as she should.
>>1746134
On the other hand, in Bayonetta 2 Bayo and Jeanne celebrate Christmas together and Bayo literally goes to Hell for Jeanne.
At no point do they try to kill each other.
>>1755021
Yes, they try to kill each other with lovey-dovey wake up kiss (or something)
>>1638457
i just got this as a mousepad, it's damn hella
>>1761372
Dayum. This is hotter than it has any right to be.

Grace and glory show in a hidden area you scrub.
>>1789490
I don't care what anyone says this is canon
The translation for the Eyes of Bayonetta 2 artbook was finally announced by Udon.I'm guessing it will be a long wait
>>1809013
It's pretty canon
>>1814140
oh yeah, Bayo is actually the MC Magical Girl who is responsible and keeps her Partying "Partner" in line after said Partner returns from a night of partying
Playing through the first game and I'm enjoying it. I read Jean doesn't show up much in the second though. Would it be ok if I just watch it on YT?
>>1815487
It's true that she doesn't show up much in the second game, but Bayonetta's main goal of the first half of the game is saving Jeanne's soul and if you're enjoying the gameplay of the first game there's no reason not to play the second.
>>1815487
That's a bit tricky. It's true that Jeanne doesn't show up as much in the second game, but when she does show up she and Bayo basically act like the gayest couple of divas ever (instead of trying to kill each other) and much of the plot is taken up with Bayo's quest to save Jeanne from Hell.
Also, I personally prefer the gameplay in 2 over 1, so there's that. But if the gameplay doesn't do it for you at all, then just watch it on Youtube, I guess. Whatever.
>>1729247
Wait for real? I don't remember the journal saying that... amazing if true
>>1819484
>>1729247
The journal entry doesn't specifically say Bayonetta goes to save Jeanne because she loves her, but rather love is the main motivation that would guide someone to such a journey. It's still a pretty heavy implication
"Every civilization in history weaves narratives starring heroes who, cursing the fates who take loved ones from them, travel to the ends of the world and beyond to bring them back. Resurrection is a universal theme of our kind. I am not sure if I believe in the existence of the soul to begin with, but the desire to be with the one you love? Now you're speaking my language.

>When these feelings are strong enough, they can drive us to challenge our seemingly immutable fate. Yet many a myth ends with gods themselves failing in their quest. No matter how iron your will, or how pious your prayer, life once lost can never be returned. Such a power was never meant to be wielded by man.
>>1819517
Okay, that's a pretty heavy implication.
>>1819517
Wow you're the best
Can't believe I missed this... I can't believe this basically went unnoticed.
Wowwwwwww
I finished Bayonetta 2 a few days ago. Fantastic, had me grinning ear to ear.
I was reading the lore books and I got this from the segment on Alraune, the demon Bayonetta rescues Jeanne from.
>She searches the bottom of hell for the most exquisite souls, then injects poison into their nerves to make them eternal "lovers" at her palace.
Game had us save Jeanne from a bad yuri end.
>>1825584
>this didn't spark yuri fan art
damn
>>1828850
Of course it didn't. We all know how both the average gamer and artist is.My only gripe is that the Bayonetta/Jeanne storyline wasn't as prominent as the promotion material would lead you to believe.
Rescue bump
>>1837397
Is Jean be really that flat?
>>1837418
Yes, they even went back and flattened her chest for the WiiU remake of the first game because Kamiya thought her chest was too big compared to the concept art.
http://nintendoeverything.com/wii-u-version-of-bayonetta-1-makes-a-change-to-jeannes-model/
>>1638466
I'm sure she's a stunning ORAtor
Where was this thread a month ago when I beat Bayo 2?
>>1846169
It's been here for 9 months
Just beat Bayo 1, 2 and watched the movie. never had a clue it would turn out to be a yuri game
>>1847519
How was the movie? If it doesn't diminish the /u/ I'd watch it, but I'm feeling hesitant.
>>1855099
Not >>1847519, I thought the movie didn't diminish or add Yuri subtext but it was mediocre overall.
The most /u/ thing that came from it was the movie's character designer released a couple of very /u/ images of Cereza and Jeanne, one of which is posted at >>1656528 and the one I'm posting.
>>1858301
Was it at least better than the Devil May Cry anime?
>>1859659
Just based on the 2 episodes of the DMC anime I've seen, it's about the same to marginally better (at most).
>>1860302
The DMC anime seemed really boringly serious, does the same apply to Bayonetta?
>>1863085
Bayonetta has the same personality in the movie as she does in the games, it's just that the anime really mediocre overall and doesn't do anything better than the games.
>>1865321
What exactly bothered you about it?
From what I saw, the action scenes are too slow as a result of being overly detail-focused, which doesn't work for an adaptation of a really fast-paced game.
>>1865321
So basically like the DMC anime?
>>1867080
The action scenes were definitely a big disappointment, they were very static and generic, especially when compared to the first game's cutscenes and set piece moments.
>>1867120
Based on what little I've seen of the DMC anime, pretty much.
>>1871530
>>1809013
really love the passion in this one.
We temporarily interrupt your regularly posted coupling with this image.
>>1889220
But they hate each other
>>1889431
They're demons, I sure hate sex is a common thing in Inferno.
>>1889431
Shipping characters that hate each other in canon is a very common thing in all kinds of fandom.
again
again bump
>>1912712
Quit bumping if you're not going to at least post a picture.
no bayoxjeanne in book eyes of bayonetta 2?
Looking to play Bayonetta, but haven't yet, is Bayonetta a cannon lesbian?
>>1912761
Don't know but Udon is releasing an English version sometime next year.
>>1915149
Bayonetta is probably a bisexual, but the only serious romantic interest she has is Jeanne.
>>1915149
I think she prefers pistols.
ech
>>1925451
Nice shitpost necrobump.
Do you think Bayonetta and Jeanne are married?
>>1937175
I'm not sure Bayonette and Jeanne really believe in marriage. Certainly they wouldn't get a Church wedding and getting legally married would be like admitting the government can make rules that they then follow.
Possibly there's some Umbra Witch ceremony that's basically the same idea.
yeah, they are more likely to just fuck on the church and then ride away naked on their bike with a flock of angels chasing after them
>>1937495
I'm so fucking happy I voted for Bayo and she got in. Stuff came up while I was playing the first game, but now I need to finish them both for sure.
I had no idea there was /u/ stuff in there, just makes it better.
Bayo get's announced for Smash and today's her 604th(and Kamiya's)birthday.
>>1940104
Jeanne's got a birthday present for Cereza.
>>1942370
Just most of it is
>>1942370
Too much tumblr, not enough pixiv.
Merry Bayomas!
Hope you didn't forget the caviar and you're cuddled up to your favorite gal pal today.
Great, so Bayonetta art from now on will just have Nintendo mascots thrown in instead of the series own characters.
I'm happy Nintendo saved Bayonetta if it really was not going to have a sequel otherwise but I hate how they have to cram their mascots in absolutely everything since third party titles are mostly irrelevant to its fanbase.
>>1945779
There isn't much Bayonetta art being made anyway, this can only increase the output of art you care about even though there will be more byproducts you aren't interested in. I'm not very interested in seeing Bayonetta with anyone other than Jeanne but this increase in her popularity can only help keep her relevant to new artists in the long run. Learn what you need to filter and you can pretend like this never happened.
>>1945779
>instead of the series own characters.
Aside from Jeanne who else are you missing?
Fucking Luka?
>>1946041
This will probably sound like a shitpost but it's an earnest question. Isn't it cannon Bayonetta effed the lumen sage guy in the past? Like, isn't she somehow her own mom or something. I don't have a PS3, and am working my way through Bayo 1 after just getting it with Bayo 2, and only know the story through youtube cutscene 'movies' and the like. I always got really confused about how that was all supposed to work. Trust me, I ship Bayonetta and Jeanne very much, and that journal post above seems like a pretty good point in the ships favor, but this bit still confuses the hell out of me. It's also kinda gross, and either way, she's got hella daddy issues.
>>1951987
>Bayo effed her dad
Do you not realize that Rosa was the one who slept with him?
Rosa, the woman who was Bayo's mother.
There's a reason why you go 1 then 2 since 2 involves a time traveling shenanigans. She doesn't have daddy issues.
The 6th marks Jeanne's 604th Birthday.
Guess that means she's intoaslightly older woman . . .
. . . about 18 days older.
