Okay, so I've been thinking about this whole closed loop time travel thing and, likely due to the way it was shot, it still confuses me slightly. When we hear Meera shouting for Bran to Warg Hodor from the future, 3ER tells Bran to listen to her. But then Wyllas starts seizing and his eyes roll back like he's being warged before Bran actually does anything, and then we get this weird moment where Bran is just standing around reacting to it (funny, the ONE thing he reacts to all season is the only thing he really shouldn't). We never actually see him warg.
So the implication seems to be either that he warged him in the past and just stayed inside his brain for like 30 years, or that something Bran did in that moment fucked up his brain irreparably. But none of this is explained. It's fucking ridiculous, Bran's storyline is basically nothing but exposition all season, but the simultaneously fail to explain anything about the extremely important new information they are presenting.

I've grown used to the side characters being snubbed at the Emmys when they're the ones being played by the good actors and giving the powerful performances. I should be pissed that Liam Cunningham wasn't nominated for example, but i've grown so used to his kind not being recognized that it doesn't feel like it matters anymore.
No, I think the bigger joke is when you can clearly, blatantly see certain actors/actresses being nominated out of "habit" because they're supposed to be the "face" of the thing, rather than the actual content of the episodes. It's like it's being decided by people who've never watched the show but go "oh, oh, i've heard of the dragon queen, i've heard of the witty dwarf, i've heard of the little badass girl. Let's nominate them."
If you're gonna go with a "main" character for this year, then only Kit for his physical acting in the battle deserves a nod perhaps, not so much his acting-acting.
