Gohan never enjoyed fighting. It's made very clear throughout the series that Gohan fights when necessary, but very obviously doesn't enjoy it like Goku does. The kid grew up and married his babe girlfriend and became a successful scholar. Can't really see the problem here.
Dragon Ball Super is still better than GT, at the very least.
