It's kind of a bummer, but he should get over it. Most people already knew or had already put together Jon's parentage years ago because of the clues George himself put in the books and being able to spread it around the internet. Same goes for Jon's rebirth.
In that sense, it's not -much- different from other stuff he "revealed" before the show but counted on people having to use their brain to figure out whereas the show spells it out. There was some stuff that was shown explicitly in the first few seasons like Renly being gay that some dense readers weren't able to pirce together for some reason, and George had to reveal they weren't spoilers/changes at all. The show has always beaten people over the head with stuff that is subtle in the books and R+L is not much different.
The more interesting part is what Jon's going to do when he finds out he isn't Ned's som or the Targaryen lineage aspect that hasn't even been delved into at all yet. If he hurries up he could still beat them to that. And even if he doesn't everyone knows he will go into way more detail about it and it will be more interesting in his books. I can't think of a twist this season that has surprised book readers at all that is most likely also happening in the books, besides Hold the Door and maybe the Dragonglass thing (but the latter sounds too simplified).

So I was thinking: what's Cersei's next move?
While it makes sense for a mad woman like her to take created for blowing up the Sept, killing the Tyrells and the High Sparrow/Faith Militants and God knows how many innocent nobles and commoners, Cersei has to know on some level she can't take credit for it.
At the very least, she has to know Jamie will kill her if she ever finds out due to Tommen killing himself in grief over Margaery's death, if not because she did the very same thing Jamie killed the Mad King for (assuming Jamie ever told her).
So someone has to take the blame for it. But who?
Let's look at the possible scapegoats.
1. Dorne: they killed Myrcella and their king, the former of which would probably be enough to trick Jamie into continuing by Cersei's side if he believes they murdered his other son and wife and countless others.
2. Danny/Tyrion/Varys: Tyrion knew of the wildfire, had help from Varys escaping (with Varys going MIA after Tywin's death) and Danny is a know psychopath just like her dad. Would be the perfect way to have characters namedrop some of the shit Danny has done to the slavers to explain why the nobles are shitty their pants at Danny coming to town, given how she hates the rich and powerful.
3. Littlefinger: He's lied to Cersei since the death of Joffrey as far as fleeing with Sansa and making it look like Sansa had formed an alliance against the Lannisters via marrying Ramsey and constantly claiming he's still on her side. If he declares publicly for John/Sansa House Stark like he said he was, Cersei could scorch Earth things for Littlefinger down south by framing him for the Sept bombing. Or she could cut the middle men out and:
4. Sansa/John Stark: just blame it on the Starks outright. Sansa in particular, since Cersei could claim that she got Ramsey to help come up with the wildfire scheme, then killed him once the bomb went off as far as Ramsey no longer being of use to her.

This is fair, but if we are arguing who is better suited for leadership, I still say Bran over Jon. Even if his powers are not 100% infallible, they still give him an enormous advantage over pretty much anyone else.
That said, I do not think Bran will be King. If we are looking at the narrative from a classical stand point, Bran closely resembles the wizard archetype. Granted, the books may be different as GRRM likes to circumvent tropes, but I think within the context of the show, Bran will be the Merlin to Jon's King Arthur.

I think Bran's sight makes him an obvious choice to be making huge decisions but I think he'd be a better fit in that advisor role than as a ruler for a lot of the reasons he would be a good ruler, as weird as that sounds.
A lot of Jon's terrible tactical decisions are regarded as being very northern in their ferocity and passion by other northmen. He's battle hardened. He's treats the northern lords fairly. Most importantly he can produce an heir. I think Jon's probably the better pick as a northern leader than Bran, but if Bran designs to undermine him there wouldn't be much Jon could do about it.
