Is Tywin Lannister the most overrated character?
People always talk as if he's some strategic demi-god, but I believe that he is nothing more than an extremely *lucky* cold hearted opportunist.
To begin, most of his in-universe reputation comes not from his genius planning or tactical prowess, but from his brutality. The two things he is most well known for is destroying Castamere and sacking Kings Landing. Neither of these required any masterful planning. The Reynes were his vassal, and he vastly outnumbered him. In Kings Landing he had the gates opened for him, and sacked the place.
But lets move on to the War of Five Kings, a war which if not for a few freak occurrences out of Tywins control, he should have been crushed in.
Without the shadow baby, Stannis either stays brooding in Dragonstone or is crushed by Renly's overwhelming force of Tyrells and Stormlords. After this Renly would have easily have taken Kings Landing, with Tywin stuck in the riverlands. Tywin would then have Renly on one side and the Young Wolf on the other, making it only matter of time before he is crushed. He was beat by Robb, and even got beat back by Edmure. Thats right, even Edmure was a better tactician than Tywin.
Tywins biggest strength is also his biggest weakness. All of his 'friends' despise him because of his ruthlessness and are constantly plotting against him. Littlefinger, Varys, the Tyrells, The Martells, and others are constantly plotting against Tywin, and were all outplaying him. His greatest ambition of securing the future of his house was set up for inevitable failure, even if he had lived.
Finally his dickishness is perhaps the greatest towards Tyrion, who could have been Tywin's biggest asset if treated differently. Instead his insecurity about the appearance of his house and his resentment at Tyrion for 'causing' the death of Tywin's wife becomes his ultimate downfall, and he dies while taking a shit, which all things considered,was a rather fitting end.

For the Martell and Tyrell fleets to join Dany's and attack westeros, they're meeting in the narrow sea which is right next to Sunspear.
So Varys hasn't gone very far, Dany's fleet has travelled all the way from Mareen, around Valyria.

I have to agree with this to a point. Sansa hating on Ramsay is fairly logical, but it's not as though he really did THAT much to her. Yes he fucked her without consent, but Jeyne Poole in the books got raped by two dogs on Ramsay's command on their wedding night. If they had Ramsay actually do something bad to her, like he had done with Theon, for example, I could actually see reason for her flight and such.

Which one was you confused by? The Tower of Joy flashbacks were to reveal Jon Snow's true parentage. The Winterfell Courtyard one was to reestablish the four children: Young Ned, Benjen, Hodor and Lyanna. Young Ned and his sacrifice becoming Jon's guardian, Benjen who returns as Coldhands, Hodor who is mindraped by Bran from the future to save them later, and Lyanna as Jon Snow's biological mother. The Children of the Forest flashback was to establish who created the White Walkers. The sizzle reel of the Mad King was to foreshadow Cersei blowing up the sept.

That's not untrue but a bigger army is better than a smaller army and Olenna was INVITED to Dorne. She has no reason to fear Dorne and little to lose. Joining a Targyrian reformation is definitely a good move for her though.

Well it's not like Bran knew what he'd see in the TOJ thing. Another thing to remember is that Bran has no idea really if the visions he sees will be useful at all. TOJ isnt incredibly useful, but is helpful.
