Sansa's arguable. One one hand yes, this was an important part of the plot, but we didn't know that at the time. The show actually kind of had a problem of showing characters (Dany, Cersei) getting raped and suffering no long term consequences. That begins to make rape as whole seem exploitative on the show.
I think in retrospect, showing that this is very much an aspect of Sansa's character development now, it's safe to say the show has earned that scene and it's not exploitative.

Nah, he was great dude. He's not so much an independent schemer as a reflection of Cersei's dependence on her family to clean up her mess. She thinks she's this great schemer but the rise of the high sparrow proves that she was nothing without Tywin or Tyrion. It's her own hubris that dooms the city, and in a normal narrative she would sacrifice herself with her mistakes in the sept.
What's awesome is how she refuses to do that. High Sparrow set position for the world to break it's own rules.

I'm not arguing it shouldn't have been shown. I'm just saying the show up in that point of time had a bad track record with depicting rape and the plight of women. If the show hadn't depicted the scenes with Cersei and Dany that were consensual in the book as rape, then maybe the moment would have been more accepted as narratively valuable at the time it aired.
Look the show as a whole is exploitative: Gratuitous nudity, extreme violence with no real further contribution to the plot (at points), the show had a character get tortured for a full fucking year on the show. But all those actions had consequences on the characters: Mutilated hands, tortured personalities. We felt the weight of the each character's plight. But when two characters are explicitly raped and there's virtually no change in their personality. It begins to seem like the act is just being portrayed to shock the viewers.
Once again, I believe the show has justified that scene since. But at the point when that show had aired, it was reasonable for viewers to suspect it didn't serve any higher purpose than to cause shock

Being made a "stronger" woman by being raped is an offensive concept. It's not "I can take a dick some a conquerer now" a survivor of rape has to deal with that everyday.

At the end of the day I think it's reasonable for someone, especially a survivor of rape, to feel at the very least iffy at these scenes. Further more it serves as an example of why so many people reacted poorly to the Sansa scene last year and how the show has since improved to not indulge in unnecessary sexual violence.
