With Dany invading Westeros soon, haven't the others already been countered as the greatest threat to the land?
It's clear that the story was supposed to go from inter-house conflict -> Dany's invasion -> Others invasion. From the very beginning they are painted as the ultimate challenge, so mysterious and dangerous that the last big challenge of all the characters will be to find an answer to the threat of the Others.
But now that Dany has almost fully-grown dragons, how will they be a real threat? The most they can do is conquer the north and build an army of roughly 100.000 ice-zombies. But the swamps around Moat Cailin, the Trident and their open flank to the Vale's knights will slow them down before they have a realistic chance of reaching King's Landing.
And even if they do, Dany will be waiting with Dragons and possibly some more wildfire. Against 100.000 ice-zombies and at most 1000 Others. Three fully-grown dragons can set 1000 Others on fire in a matter of hours.
Even if they should manage to take King's Landing, wouldn't they just melt in the Dornish deserts at the very latest?
In short, how can the Others live up to their reputation of being the greatest threat to the world of the living? Do they have ice-dragons as well? Will they just warg everyone? It doesn't make sense at all.

There's only one dragonbinder horn, and that's the point. Euron comes out of nowhere and hijacks the story by acting like he's the big villain of the series, but in reality he's just another asshole causing the infighting that is distracting from the true villain, the Others.
Euron is fake-Night's King and fake-dragonlord, both the death knell of the petty war and the starting shot of the endgame. He's going to steal a dragon and wreck Oldtown, disturbing the symbol of stability and remove from the war (the Reach) and derailing the symbol of southern attempts to focus on and prepare for the true war (Sam); but in the process he's going to blow the horn of winter and bring down the Wall (ending the game of thrones), and cause Daenerys to turn away from conquest and towards fighting the Others (ending the dance of dragons).
In that sense, even his dragon horn is an impostor, besides the point - the horn that matters is the cracked little warhorn that's been in Sam's possession since ACOK, the horn that brings the winds of winter.
