She switched faces when she killed Meryn Trant. It's why she went blind. While blind, she was eventually shown to be able to match the Waif in a fight, or at least be able to actually fend off her blows and hold her own. While blind. The Waif is supposed to be pretty fucking good, and let's be honest, Arya was training for a LONG fucking time, like an entire season. She probably could have easily beaten both of those Freys at the same time in a straight fight with her sword. I'd imagine the fight going something like they drastically underestimate her because she looks like a little girl with a tiny sword, but then she just stabs one in the heart and dodges a clumsy swing from the other one then gets him too. When it comes down to it, with the Braavosi water dance type fighting style Syrio trained her in, which is basically her fighting style now, her size and strength doesn't matter so much. We haven't really seen her fight anyone much except for the Waif, but I'm pretty sure considering she improved to the point of being able to match the Waif, she could beat a couple of dumb shit Freys, or nameless red shirt soldiers. It's not like it's an RPG where training as an assassin means you can't practice fighting with a sword as well as someone who is just a soldier.
