I've been in the mood for some more Cary Grant since rewatching North By Northwest.
His Girl Friday seems to be popular here, so will definitely have to check it out soon.
Also, what other Sang-soo's have you seen? I really enjoyed Our Sunhi and The Day He Arrives, but got a little put off by Oki's Movie.

The scum TV version that was banned is worse than the remade one. Main benefit it has is the cast are 2 years younger, look more vulnerable and it's a bit clearer they are all teenagers
some of the key scenes in the remade oneim the daddy nowwere a lot more brutal.
I've said before but this BFI set is really stunning. Has anyone else seen Scum (either version or both?) one of the extras is a 1978 news broadcast discussing the banning, really interesting

I would probably say check out 400 Blows first just to get a sense of context. Day For Night was the culmination of Truffaut's career and there's a lot of meta-textual references and self reflection on his work and the French New Wave he helped make.
By all means watch it because it's not like it's completely inaccessible but I reckon you'll enjoy it more after seeing some of his earlier works first.
