Even in episode 9 alone the comparison can be made. In the battle of Mereen, she wasn't getting caked in shit and mud and blood, she wasn't getting trampled to death. She flew in on her WMD, burned some ships, and used that free horde she got a few episodes ago. A character like that isn't compelling.
It's going to be quite something when the books release and a Battle of the Bastards doesn't happen.
