So where you happy with how the Smoke Monster's origin was handled? Honestly that was one of the things I was hoping to solve when first watching as it aired and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, didn't expect them to connect it to Jacob but they did a damn good job of making us feel sorry for Smokey.

I remember as soon as it ended, everyone was speechless and then someone literally said it was purgatory the whole time and we started to argue and had to rewatch certain parts of the dialogue and shit. I think it's just easier to believe that so people just jump to it, but the series was perfectly clear. At the very end they show the wreckage and I've heard it was not part of the story, but it did give a feeling that they were all dead (in contradiction to what was previously said).
I remember I felt a bit weird for a couple of days, not just because the series has ended, but the whole alternate storyline when they realized they were dead messed with me. Felt a bit dead, tbqh, just waiting to realize it.
But no, I'm alive, it's just that life is shit.
