Kind of surprised by this. Season 1 looks like a show I'd catch reruns of at 5pm on the CW on a Wednesday afternoon. It's also horribly cheesy, and none of it's subversion tactics hold up in a modern television world.
The show only recently became watchable IMO, starting in season 3 where they killed off the last of the red herrings.
You could read a wikipedia article of the first 3 seasons and watch from season 4 on. That way you could skip all the cringe and get straight to the better budgeting / story telling.
Battle of The Bastards holds up as a better episode of television than anything the first 3 seasons produced and that's included in the laughably cheesy 'twist' red wedding (wow two 20-something male heroes, I wonder if the less interesting one has to die...duh)

it's not just the big action scenes; overall the quality of the show has improved greatly. there was A LOT of bad acting in the first season and awful fight scenes with the exception of the brief hound vs mountain clash.
at the end of the day it's just tits and dragons for entertainment with the occasional emotional moement and le ebin action scene. anyone who pretends otherwise or is mad because they are looking for something more is a retard. the difference between got and everything else on tv is that instead of having great moments once in a while the rest of tv is always bad - with very few exceptions right now (mad men is done, silicon valley is pretty mediocre right now too).

To go full /pol/, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, South Korea, and Japan could all make socialism work because they had racially, culturally, and largely socioeconomically homogeneous societies that ALL possessed average IQ's that were significantly above the world average. Those factors all came together to produce the initial economic success that made socialism financially feasible in the first place.
It will never work in the US because we're way too large and culturally diverse, and we're also way too socioeconomically diverse to ever create a solution that is equitable to all quintiles while Remain fiscally viable in the long run.
