I really hope that the director decides to bring Wicked back down to its original concept, away from what it's become in recent years, with a handful of exceptions. The first act is most significantly effected by this.
Act I Galinda went from a posh, snobby young woman with a penchant for silliness on one night when she's giddy on champagne and excitement into a spastic retard who does random kicks/tics, make weird noises, does splits, and other bizarre things constantly just to get the audience laughing. Act I Elphaba went from a jaded, sarcastic figure into a plucky, spunky go-getter who gosh darn it is gonna show these Shiz University kids what for!

What's really weird is that Disney has the rights to Wicked, had a blockbuster with Frozen (featuring Idina Menzel, the original Elphaba), and is moving ahead with a live action version (because they've had so much luck adapting fairy tales like Alice, Through The Looking Glass, right?), instead of pic related with the original Broadway cast doing the voices...wtf.
