I think some of his ideas have merit but he tends to really overestimate the planning of certain characters and misinterpret coincidence.
An example was that he suggested Tywin intentionally remained in the Riverlands to encourage Robb to attack west in order to push him and Jeyne together and cause his downfall. I think that's just far too anticipatory to be anyone sensible's plan. Far more likely is Robb met Jeyne by chance and then Tywin saw a way to exploit the relationship with help from Roose and Jeyne's mother.
That said, I do like RL=D even if I'm not sure I give GURRM enough credit to pull it off.
