I don't mind the new plotlines, but the entire direction of the story feels like there was a divergence at the end of S5 and S6 is just an alternate universe branch while in the main universe everything is happening in the spirit of S1-4 and to a degree S5.
Jon's death not mattering, Arya's training leading nowhere, Sansa meeting Jon, Roose dying, Dany's speeches, Tyrion doing fuck all, etc all feel like they came out of nowhere. The flashbacks feel bizarre. King's Landing doesn't feel like the same place as in the previous seasons. The costumes are poor. The pacing is off as fuck compared to the lumbering early seasons. All of these contribute to the feel that the entire crew was replaced.
