So far I love the new mini and rallycross course, but I prefer it when we see a capable driver doing it, e.g. Gordon Ramsey or Damien Lewis. Seeing a shit driver do it is painful.
I've also enjoyed the car segments, the McLaren this week was great especially with Jenson. The Dodge section last week was good although the whole gun thing was a bit unnecessary. They could have just raced them. But yeah, the Dodge and the McLaren are both amazing cars
As for the "road trip" segments, Blackpool last week was bad I thought. The Nomad one was pretty good though. And then the Africa one this week was okay... some of the bants were alright.
It looks like they've got some great cars booked for the series so that's a good thing and next Chris Harris will be on which will be great. As i say I'm giving it a fair chance before I make a definitive judgement. I was less excited about watching it this week than I was last week though and maybe I will just find myself getting bored of it

It was always completely scripted. I don't think it felt more staged as time went on personally.
However I will say that I thought the Argentina special was one of the worst specials. Not much really happened. They didn't buy each other joke presents or anything like that (apart from the big trophy at the end but that was about it)
But I still think the last two series were very good. Think about that last episode, with the two films about a) the classic cars and b) the SUVs. I thought they were both good
