Reese or Shaw will be next. Fusco will probably survive long enough for one of them to say goodbye. Finch will be standing alone at the end again.
>>70320534
Greer will survive, because spoopy last-second scene.
>>70319518
Naw man, he's going to be the only survivor and recruit the next series of assets. His whole redemption story from corrupt cop to legitimate cop to vigilante has been pretty sweet so far.
>>70320534
Shaw and Fusco will die, Finch will try and sacrifice himself to save John but The Machine won't let him die, she'll have been watching him too long and predicted all of his attempts to hand himself over to Samaritan or suicide and engineered an elaborate plan to stop them. She'll win without anyone's help and in the end, Finch will be an old man, the last man on Earth, alone in his library with the voice of root. Then his glasses break.

People are saying it all might just be a simulation
>>70321760
Probably not. They won't do it us. They didn't do this to us before.
>>70321760
It's probably not.
It could all be a simulation of the chain of events that would unfold should they not kill the senator.
Final scene: The Machine resets to real time, as Reese puts a few bullets in the senator's chest.
>>70322019
Honestly, I'd be okay with that. I think we'll end up with the sad ending however, as it's just more fitting for the story. That we don't always get what we want, and even when we strive to do good, we can still fail.
However, I just want a happy ending.
>>70322019
That would be too far, The Machine never saw Samaritan's source code so she could never predict what it would do on this scale.
She probably did know that Decima was behind Vigilance though

So either everything goes good (if it's from the Machine's POV) or bad (Samaritan's POV).
Or the Machine was never benevolent in the first place.
>>70322465
But he's already on a rampage.
>>70322241
>Return 0
For those that don't understand, most software programs tells the operating system (OS X, Windows, Linux, etc.) whether or not it finished successfully with a "return code": a single number indicating the status of the program during termination. Once a return code is sent, the program is unambiguously over.
A return code of 0 is universally understood as successful completion.
>>70322562
Something important dies, but not before completing its mission. It could be Samaritan, The Machine, Finch, or the Irrelevant Numbers initiative; no other things make sense in this context.

>>70322241
Yeah, return 0; and all of that but, I just am having a hard time seeing it.
Root's now physically gone, that scene in the morgue was something else. Then she's almost like David Bowman from 2001 A Space Odyssey. She's "transcended" her being and becomes one with the machine in a sense. I know this is a super ASI, and has to some extent been in her head so maybe it's got a accurate vision of who she was and is.
Shaw and her whole space space, the idea of her having any form of life, worth living at least, after this is really hard. I mean it was just one episode before Root said she'd shoot herself if Shaw did the same. She wants to kill Samaritan, but then what's next?
Maybe Reese survives, but I really don't think he can make it. I don't know if he can ever return back, if he lives. It's possible, as there was a moment where he could have been with Iris, and the whole premise of the show is that these broken people can heal.
Fusco's got a kid, I really don't want to see him go after all of this, I feel he'll be one of the few to live, and may have his life saved by Shaw or Reese at some critical moment. But honestly, Fusco's witty enough to make it on his own to some extent, so maybe he lives on merit.
Finch however. He's fucking snapped, and I think he's long gone. It's like when the unthinkable happens there's a point where you have to make a choice about your future. What's he got left? Grace? I don't think in his state, he can ever feel he's truly safe, so I don't think he'll ever go near her for fear of hurting her.

Supposedly Root and Shaw had a very physical relationship offscreen. Basically they had a lot of sex but it was never anything more than that, despite Root's feelings for Shaw and Shaw's hidden feelings for Root. Shaw kissing Root in If-Then-Else was basically Shaw, for the first time, admitting to Root that she actually had feelings for her.
>>70328228
I can't blame him really, he was just standing by his principles. It took the world coming to the brink for him to finally realize that you can't beat an enemy like Samaritan when you're limiting your side with those principles.
Once Samaritan is dead, the machine can protect and guide humanity into the future, but you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelette. Why do I feel like this is about something else entirely.

I've heard that 5x12 will be something like"It's a Wonderful Life" episode, where it will show whatwould have happened if Finch never created the Machine.
>>70330411
Wouldn't it just a world with Samartian then? Since it was originally scraped when Harold finished the Machine first?

Alternatively, everybody gets hired by Samaritan instead. Or Nathan collaborates with somebody else to build the machine.

tumblr pls

>He doesn't use all social media to find good art
Japan uses Twitter, pixiv and tumblr
Koreans are mostly on tumblr
And Chinese are usually on weibo and tumblr too
>>70333023
It's just a platform. A platform which some artists (for a reason I can't possibly comprehend, since most of them aren't amateurs) use to post art.
Chill.
>>70333269
Then ignore I said tumblr, but my iHate stays the same, it led to the demise of this site.
I'll leave it there to not derail the thread.
>>70333317
>>70333269
>>70333177Also, as the person with the iHate, imagine all the disinfo the Samaritan/Machine could be shitposting at the speed of light. All the copypasta, saved and forever reposted.
>>70333317
It's all I can afford right now anon.
>>70333023
honestly don't get the hate for it, loads of great artists use it now for posting their work since it gets a wider audience than just deviantart
>>70333393
Resizes, no unified layout, no commenting function (reposting for commenting is shit).
No way to filter for just image posts on the dashboard, as far as I know. Nor on the artist's page. Archives are wonky at best.
Also, not all artists use a tag for their own works, so sometimes I have to sort through reblogs. Thankfully, only complete newbies are that retarded.
>>70333511
they've added a commenting function! granted i think it only shows on dashboards...it's a real reply type format, but its something. i do miss the interactions with others like on deviantart in terms of commenting/answering questions.
and true not all artists tag themselves, but thankfully i usually find their actual tumblr so i just follow those
>>70333619
>and true not all artists tag themselves, but thankfully i usually find their actual tumblr so i just follow those
Problem is, sometimes artists use their blog for both reposting other stuff and posting their art. And if they don't tag their art, you have to wade past reblogs, text posts, blog posts, etc. just to get to pictures you want to look at.
Pixiv and Deviantart may also have somewhat shaky tagging systems, but at least they don't allow artists to have somebody else's stuff on their page.
What show will alleviate my pain after this finishes?
>>70319518
He was yellow in the intro too.
>>70332721
Why else did you think Greer keep doing that?
Samaritan even knows how to depixelate video and improve video quality.
>>70333810
I'm thinking about Samaritan running 7000 simulations of pure sex just to fuck (heh) with Shaw.
Virtual reality future can't come soon enough.
>>70333810
That old bastard needs to hook me up with those videos. Hell hook me up with the gear I need to go fuck simulation Root.
>>70321811
It felt like a simulation. I don't want to believe that Elias died in one second after they went to all that trouble to reveal that they faked his death. I don't want to believe that Finch was that careless. It really felt like it was going to reveal the Machine vs. Samaritan simulation counter just counted another loss for the Machine at the end, but then it didn't. It looks like that's just what happened. :/
>>70333754
If you don't mind anime then Psychopass
Just don't watch the second season
>>70321811
That was pretty funny.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38IkzqfDpK8
>>70320534
they'll all live
root was never supposed to be on the show as much as she was, but because shaw got pregnant irl they changed script
carter died so she could go do empire
>>70333954
I've only watched the first of that. Whats up with the second?
>>70334084
It was dog shit and difficult to watch
>>70333754
Mr. Robot it's starting up next month ;_; just in time since the finale for PoI is on the 21st of this month
>>70333810
So we need to get Samaritan working on decensoring hentai and JAVs?
>>70334025
No, they were considering killing Reese but changed it to Shaw after she got pregnant.
These people piss me the fuck off.
>>70334366
>Xena
That was in the fucking series finale, and they were never confirmed lesbians in-universe.
>implying Xena dying and Gabrielle becoming the new Xena wasn't god-tier
>>70334366
I wasn't following when Shaw "died" but did Twitter get this salty?
>>70334479
No idea.
>>70334479
it absolutely did, so did tumblr.
So is the show case of the week?
Kinda want to watch it, but case-of-the-week is getting stale for me
>>70333754
Watch dennou coil
>>70334589
Starts of case of the week but evolves before it becomes stale.
>>70334589
it starts off procedural but then the overall arc of the series is god damn interesting and it's brought up quite a bit. definitely worth it.
i hate cbs shows and htis is liek...the one i felt was so anti-cbs in its format.
>>70334679
>the one i felt was so anti-cbs in its format.
Must be why it's on it's way out after the next couple episodes.
>>70334589
That's how it begins, but it becomes more serialized as it progresses.
>>70334737
I don't understand why every show has to be so formulaic. Its not interesting and it cripples shows. Limitless was a great example. It had great characters, fun tone, but was bogged down by being case-of-the-week.
>>70334811
I enjoy case of the week shows with an overarching plot that develops throughout the season.
>>70334737
yeah... it's a damn shame, it's really one of the more unique shows out there but sadly yeah at first glance it looks like your typical procedural.
hell i didn't give it a try until s3 then watched an ep and was blown away by it despite not knowing all the character names and stuff. it forced me to go back watch the entire earlier seasons and i fell in love with it
>>70334874
>hell i didn't give it a try until s3 then watched an ep and was blown away by it despite not knowing all the character names and stuff
I've forgotten what that feels like, damn I can't remember the first time I actually watched tv. The internet is just way too convenient.
>CBS cancels Person of Interest
>Executive Producers wanted the last season's story to be more serialized
>see.B.S. insisted they still do case of the week episodes
B R A V O
>>70334874
>hell i didn't give it a try until s3 then watched an ep and was blown away by it despite not knowing all the character names and stuff
Same here, the first episode I ever saw was the S2 one where Reese's old partner sticks a bomb on him and Doug Stamper and makes them commit crimes for her.
