The third movie however is fantastic. Especially if you loved the show. The only issue with it is the endings plot twist that essencially ruins the shows ending, and makes you absolutely hate a character due to motives that are questionable at best. Other than the ending though, its honestly amazing.

Madoka is the most annoying character, she's acting like she literally has autism, the black one is on par with her, I've only liked the yellow one that had her head cut off three episodes in and blue one. The show isn't good at all. One thing that sticks out about it is it how the character designs ruin emotional scenes.
If I had anything to thank anime now for it would be that my disillusionment with it after 20 long years of occasional suffering pushed me to explore cinema and tv to get a distance away from it.
Any foreknowledge of the writer for madoka discounts the argument for those who claim the first three episode tricks the viewer. It takes four episodes to start and the characters are non-entities we're expected to care for and everyone speaks in heavy-overexposition. Additionally its also too heavyhanded and styles itself up to hide its obvious lack of budget. The Kyubey character has sort of an appeal but thats it.
Not a fan of Urobuchi in general.
