There's something I don't understand about the last episode. i had forgotten about it by the end but I thibk everyone wondered why bran and the old guy were warging right when they knew the white walkers were on their way. Either it's a very lazy way of concluding the hodor storyline (the most likely imo) or it means that the guy in the tree somehow knew it would happen and wanted to teach Bran. The problem is that if Bran can do that, why waste it on hodor ? Why not do something useful in the long term ? It's also bad in the sense that it would introduce unlimited deus machina for the plot, beside the fact that if hodor is affcted since before the story starts, it must mean that Bran in the future was never able to affect the pat a second time. The other possibility is that Bran can only do those things under very restricted conditions like hodor being present and other things. In that case, again, why waste time teaching him an unusable skill

The way I've been thinking of it is this: Hodor and Willas are two separate people.
Willas was a kid who grew up in Winterfell etc. One day, completely out of the blue, he found himself teleported into an adult body, surrounded by snow and ice, with some smelly hobbit yelling at him to "Hold the door". Confused, he did as he was told for as long as he could, before succumbing and being devoured by ravening ice-zombies. And that's how little Willas died.
Hodor, on the other hand, is an immortal being trapped in a stable time loop. He has always been funneled from the adult body to the child body, gone on to live as Hodor in the child's body, grown up to live and be Hodor, only to eventually wind up back at that door to be funneled once again back to that child's body.
Subjectively speaking, Hodor is immortal and has been alive forever.

It's gotten very watered-down very quickly, but it's based on actual experiences women have. The key thing about pic related is that it describes unqualified men 'explaining' things to the author on a subject where she's literally one of the world's foremost experts.
Sansa is a kid who has a lot of immediate experience of court life etc, but so far as we know/have been given to assume, little to no actual knowledge about the North itself. She was a kid when she left, she's not been back since and Davos has been communicating and dealing with the great houses all over the Seven Kingdoms since acting as Stannis' hand. If they disagree, it's not at all clear that Davos is 'mansplaining' anything to her.
