I....what.....I'm....I can't even....I'm having trouble grasping at words here at what I just saw. I've been stabbed in the heart, and I'm trying to get it out and stop the bleeding. It is still so damn painful. But nothing compared to what infests my mind. Well done GRRM.
What a viscerally powerful moment in A Song of Ice and Fire, and the first time I'm really glad that the show is ahead of the books because this absolute tragedy to me wouldn't nearly have been as effective on my mind in words, as it is being shown or being sung to me on film. GRRM has a mastery of English language to put you in the right frame of mind, but just seeing the visuals, the music, the beats, the tones, the faces....
I mean...wow. This made me ill. Worse than Red Wedding. Worse than Ned's death. Damn.
This episode is a 9.5/10 for me and one of the best of the series thus far. I thought this would be a good episode since there were some leaked pictures of the Children of the Forest, but it is like this episode took a crowbar and broke open Pandora's Box. Sooo many great things going on, advancing the plot and creating even more exciting things. Furthering so many theories and giving credence to so many others. I have very few to no gripes with this episode.

Dany's a decent character in the books but fucking hell Emilia Clarke's acting is atrocious. The "break the wheel" scene sounds like she's reading her lines straight off a prompter, and she always sounds like she has the fake posh British accent even though she's actually fucking british.
Can't say anything about her though because she's a media darling (le mobile eyebrows!) and is crucial to the plot via her dragons, even though she's done nothing but cry about slavery. She might as well be in a different show right up until the point Tyrion and varys come to her.

It's not really unbelieavnle though. She has finally been reunited with a family member, who is the Lord Commander of the Nights Watch. She has an excellent fighter right at her side. She wants revenge for what has happened to her, and having the Stark name gives her the influence to carry a revenge plot out.
