It's 100% new material, all of which is inferior to the comic. All the characters act different except for Cassidy, who looks like a faggot and is no longer weak to sun for no discernible reason. Several scenes have been prematurely ruined like them meeting Arseface for the first time and Jessie getting possessed by Genesis during a sermon. So basically they just skipped a whole plotline that kickstarts the plot and introduces some of the most important characters.
bit annoyed that nothing more major happened at the end, and they are gonna be sticking around town for season 1 it seems
otherwise it is off to a great start
