Don't know what board this goes on but yeah, just watched this recently, was pretty good despite the "WE WUZ REVOLUTIONARIES AND SHIETTT" cast
The songs were enjoyable
The characters were likeable as well\
Lafayette was based as fuck
Hamilton was ironically the worst part of the play
other than that it gets 8/10 for me

It's a pretty great show to listen to. Gets addicting the more you listen to it.

I volunteer for a childrens theater, and all the teenagers are nuts about this. I want to be a non-conformist, but everything I've heard from the soundtrack sounds pretty good. I haven't listened to it, because I don't want to hear it for the first time divorced from it's context of the stage. I'm pretty sure one of the characters quotes Biggie Smalls at one point.

It's Thomas Jefferson during a rap-battle styled cabinet meeting to discuss America's entrance into the French Revolution. Basically he ends his battle rap with 'and if you don't know, now you know, Mr. President'

It's funny, I can imagine the opening number for In The Heights translating way better than Alexander Hamilton.

Could easily be done with a couple of long takes sort of separating the small bits of Gustavi's life as he sort of narrates to the camera.

Lin-Manuel's a pretty impressive lyricist though.
In any case, the least rap-sounding tracks in the show are widely considered the best (You'll Be Back and all of King George's songs).
