What is the best Kitchen Nightmares?

I nominate the one where some twins with downs syndrome inherit a bunch of money, buy an Italian restaurant, and run it into the ground.

There was one about a burger place being run by a son, father and mother. The son and father inherited a shit ton of money from their mafia grandpa.

The father comes up with the idea of running a restaurant but the son disagrees, saying its a bad idea. The father decides to STEAL the money from his son's bank account and buys the restaurant the next morning.

While the son is a betalord fedora wearing cuck, I can't fucking help but feel so bad for this kid. He was in his mid 20's, had a nice girlfriend but his dad was just the biggest shitter I've ever seen.

It was the last Kitchen Nightmares episode I ever watched. It was fucking heartbreaking seeing the son break down and seeing the father not realizing why his son is so angry with him.

This one is pretty depressing but the people aren't that interesting

The best episodes have a combination of ridiculously negligent management and ridiculous drama, not just from the owners but the rest of the employees. OPs choice is definitely a pretty good one but his hard on for the twins seems a little too bulging.

I always found it silly that the waiters are always sitting back agreeing with ramsey about all the disgusting or retarded shit going on but they aren't doing shit about it. Oh I'm just the waiter it's not my problem there is gum under all the tables. Seriously, have some fucking initiative.

The episode in Atlanta where he's told by the black staff that a White Englishman could never cook soul food because he doesn't understand Southern Cooking and all kinds of shit.

They come in later on and he's cooked everything in the menu several times over and done it better than all of them effortlessly. Redone the entire menu, kitchen and ordering system so it's more efficient and basically dares them to say his food isn't good.

Failing that the episode of whatever it was when he tried to go all Alpha Male on James Mays and lost every single challenge from eating that fermented shark meat to a blind cooking contest where Mays won 4-1. Watching him be such a dick and getting beaten so soundly was hilarious.

Gordan Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares is genuinely kino, there's no doubt about it (UK version obviously).

Watching the vegetarians in Paris at the moment. The subject ended up becoming a hooker in real life. Amazing afternoon where Ramsay runs the cafe by himself in one afternoon, waiting, cooking and cleaning, and makes more money from soup and bread than she makes in a month. It's amazing what some people are genuinely capable of.
>>
>>69089898
New Orleans food? That's what I've always taken it to be anyway, with the whole culture-mix going on there historically imprinting on the cuisine.
>>
>>69090206
Let's be honest, most of that profit comes from the fact that Ramsay plus camera crew is in there. If you switched Ramsay for any celebrity who isn't a chef you'd get the same result.
>>
>>69090318
The money from Paris episode actually came from the fact that soup is super ez and cheap to make.
>>
>>69090358
I meant in general. Every episode. They advertise that he's in there so people come in.
>>
>>69090358
That hinges on the soup selling, though. And you need Ramsay to sell soup like hotcakes.

>>69090395

wtf, don't you have health inspectors in the US?
i don't understand how episodes like in the OP could happen in any developed country.
>>
>>69098695
I worked in a restaurant in Manhattan for almost a year and never once saw a health inspector yet we still got passing grades. Strange how that works. The place was relatively okay, but some parts were just nasty as fuck. I took the initiative and scraped the overhead of the grills one day when we got closed down due to a generator blowing outside and I swear to god I scraped two inch thick sheets of rubberized grease off that shit that you could bend and it would then retain it's former shape. I bet no one had ever cleaned it before me and the place had been there at least a decade. The owner was Italian and drove a Lincoln Towncar with The Godfather theme as a horn, so you know, I kept my disgust to myself. He was good to me though, he'd come in and see me busting my ass and hand me extra money out of his pocket and a couple times he gave me bags of coke when I told him I was going out after work. Nice dude but I'm pretty sure he knows where some bodies are buried. An actual quote from him: "(My name) I wish I had a thousand workers like you, you do your job and you know how to keep your mouth shut!"

I dont think this is true about the US having the strictest. Here in the UK we have sooo much overhead, red tape, laws, regulations, health safety through our local councils, local bodies, governments (scottish, welsh etc), country government (uk parliament) , EU and UN regulations. All food and shops have many, many inspectors and visitors. Every single attribute of the food is analyzed and recorded to be perfectly safe at the perfect temperature and served in the perfect conditions.

UK version is better.
US version gets old by the 3rd episode when every episode is just stupid ameritards shouting at each other.
UK version he at least cares about the people and really tries to help them rather than the dramatized shit where the network just throws a bunch of money at the restaurant and suddenly the angry guy is in tears.

I respected Gervais a lot in his early days. I still listen to XFM/podcasts regularly, but he's sort of become a parody of himself. Back then he pretended to be arrogant but now it seems he really is like that.

Apparently he's fallen out with Karl because he decided to do Moaning of Life instead of Idiot Abroad, and when he does interviews the press are told not to mention Karl.

Pretty sad.
