The problem from where I see it is that BvS is not a superhero action film. It is a political symbolic drama with super heroes.
It does a great job at being Kino in the style of European films that are known to have very long wide shots and slow scenes.
I was amazed that the American audience loved the Revanent that was made by a European director.
The difference with European Kino films and American flicks is that Americans tend to make the movie feel short and rushed (take force awakens that had no politics at all and had action scene after action scene).
BvS, The Phamtom Menace, The Revenant are European styled movies that do not rush and take its time with explaining character plotlines etc.

It wasn't slow at all, it was rushed and full of noise. Plot was inchorent and idiotic. There was literally nobody with character in the film (or at least one with depth or good), just symbols you recognized smacking into each other.

Nah. Comics are for the most part pretty shit but there are iconic moments from them. The Death and Return of Superman is one of the most iconic of them, so it's pretty much a certainty that it would be done at some point. All comic book movies want to include these iconic moments, it's why Iron Man 3 had Extremis and Captain America 3 is the Civil War and why Avengers 3 is Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. So I get what you're saying, but they couldn't really not include it at some point. And just from the context of Superman in this movie, this was probably the best time, unless they got repetitive and did a movie where Superman was beaten down again. Which I think would be worse.
In the comics it was a plot where he just got beaten to death by a big monster and came back the next issue to fight a robot doppelganger because "Kryptonians actually enter a regenerative coma after sustaining grievous injuries that is completely indistinguishable from human death" or something. It's good because in the movie they adapted it so that the death had weight and logic involved, so I can't really complain about it. And best of all, they showed that he was alive at the end of the movie so there's not a cold unforeshadowed return at the start of the next one that cheapens the death.
