This is a Swedish "cinéma vérité" following a year in the footsteps of some local important politician for about 1½ hours. No interviews or commentary at all. It's basically a movie picturing all the boring stuff related to being a politician. You get to see this guy attend meetings, make schedule for the coming months, have political small talk with fellow politicians at the café, attend half-important ceremonies where he's not even the main attraction, talk on the phone (without you knowing what the guy on the other side of the line is saying) etc.
Yes, it's actually real. It won prices for best documentary. Not sure if it can be called a real movie, but it sure is the most boring shit ever produced. I've kinda seen all of it but I'm not sure because I'm pretty sure I slept in between a lot of parts.
I have to lie in bed in total silence and darkness for at least three hours before I can sleep, regardless of how tired I feel, so I've never fallen asleep during a movie or on a train or something like that. I even did a ~40h journey from my country to Australia (including trips to and from the airport and a long stopover) and didn't sleep once.
